I am taking progesterone but it is injected.  I take 2ml a day. EDIT I take intramuscular injections just above my butt) It is not the best part of my day.

I take 200mg vaginally. 

They'll never really know if I need it, but I'll likely use it every pregnancy.

I have to shoot it into my butt muscle. I can't wait for that part to be over. I've been doing it for over a month. My butt is sore. :-)

I was told to inject there as well but when she showed me where to inject it it was not on the part of my butt I sit on. She said if it is too painful I might be injecting too low. If it hurts a lot maybe they could let you inject in a slightly different area. Heating pads before and after have helped me.

I don't mind the butt shots as much as I thought I would but getting the oil out of the tiny needle is tough!

@PerraSucia did they give you two sets of needles? I have a larger one to draw the oil into the syringe and then a slightly smaller one to inject but a nurse I was talking to said she just used the larger one to inject. Maybe you could try another size needle?

Sorry, I misunderstood, i thought you hated the small needle because it was small. I was afraid to use the large needle that's why I decided to do the injections myself. I was talking to the nurse at my doctor's office and she offered to do them for me but also mentioned she uses the big needle.

@blush64 does your partner do them?  I had been giving myself all the injections but I couldn't push the stuff through the tiny needle myself. I need like an in between size

Does anyone know exactly what is considered a safe number for progesterone? Google is giving me mixed responses.

@PerraSucia He did the first two but due to his work schedule I do them myself. I use a 25g needle to inject. (18 or 22 to put the oil in the syringe)

Feel free to skip this part. And because I feel the need to use too much detail I use a large mirror and do it in many steps. (Put the needle in, change hand position, check for blood, change position again, start injecting, leave it in another 30+ seconds after i inject then back out)
I push the oil in in 4- 6 pushes on the syringe.

@blush64 haha I put the needle in and pull to make sure I didn't hit a vein then wait for him to push it in with the needle sticking out of my butt. 

I inject with the blue ones. I think those are 25s too but draw from the vile with a pink which is 18 I think.
