Hello,

I was advised on the premie board to page you.  My son needs have a Milk Scan done for his reflux.  I just wanted to know what this test will consist of and how long will it take?  Did your DC cooperate?

    The milk scan was the easiest test. DS will drink his normal oz from a bottle. They will put a dye in it. After he drinks it, he will lay on a table. The camera is beneath him so you can stand next to him, play, cuddle. Whatever you need. It takes an hour. They are looking to see how fast the liquid empties the stomach. You will be able to watch the test on screen. They will explain to you what you are looking at. It was actually pretty interesting. This test confirmed that ds has reflux and a slow emptying stomach.
