Hi ladies, my water just broke this morning at 7am, at 35 weeks 5 days I'm looking for some support, I wasn't due until June 22 and was planning on a home water birth and now I'm in the hospital. Looks like this baby does what it wants!
Was anyone out there induced but did t have an epidural??
It's certainly a possibility and I've heard of people doing it. At my labor class this weekend I learned that the length/strength of contractions due to Pitocin is determined by how much they give you. Maybe if it gets to be too much you can ask them to dial back the Pit to a more manageable amount. Apparently that's what my hospital does.

Once the contractions are going, you can even ask them to turn it off entirely to see if your body is doing what it should do anyway.
I was a FTM planning on a hospital water birth (can't do home birth for medical reasons) and ended up having my son at 34 weeks when my water broke unexpectedly. This time, I'm hoping to make it to 37 so I can do a waterbirth but I know the baby is going to be the one making that call! The great news is you are far enough along that it's very possible you'll all get to go home together! Good luck!
I'm so sorry you won't have the birth experience you were hoping for, but you definitely have the right attitude -- they do what they want! Sending you good thoughts for a safe delivery, healthy baby and excellent care.
Best of luck and I hope baby gets to skip the NICU stay and comes home with you in a day or two! I've had a 34 weeker and a 36 weeker, so I'm all too familiar with the water breaking early experience. They certainly do what they want (after birth too)!

I had a slow leak with my son, but they had to start pitocin to get contractions started. I was on pitocin for about 17 hours before he was born, and I did it without an epidural. I'd do it again.
Mine broke at 35 weeks, he's doing awesome and even tho things didn't go as planned, I have a healthy baby and thats all that matters. Good luck! Enjoy your little one!
Re: Help! My water just broke at 35 weeks!!
I hope everything goes well! Good luck!
