Most: I'm looking forward to not wondering if my every move is some how hurting the baby - some time off from being the only parent making sure he is alive / safe will be really exciting. Time for DH to share the load, lol! And skiing- omg. @skichic626 I also got new skis (for Christmas this year actually - we hadn't yet told my parents!) and haven't used them. they are mocking me from my basement.
Least: Pumping at work. I sometimes don't even get a lunch break, its just what I can grab at my desk, so taking multiple breaks a day is going to be tough. Probably good for me, but tough to adjust to.
Most: Being able to get massages while laying on my stomach!! And shopping at regular clothes stores. I was never a big shopper, but ever since having to buy maternity clothes, I am all like "BANANA REPUBLIC I MISS YOU." And the pain in my hips/tailbone/lower back that has been here since December going away. And going for a run... and I'm just a casual runner.
Least: Lack of sleep. I am the "I get a head cold every time I go 4 days without a good night sleep" type and have no clue how this not sleeping with a newborn thing will work!
kwilliams3402 You need to find a place where they use a pregnancy pillow to do prenatal massages - it's literally a huge memory foam pillow with a hole in the middle lol. You get to lay on your belly!!! I've have prenatal massages both with the pregnancy pillow and just lying on my side and I actually prefer to lay on my side, but most people like the pillow since you get to be flat.
Most- not being in pain from nursing while pregnant, wine, getting my body back, newborn smell, playing volleyball again.
Least- trying to juggle a two year old and newborn, being in a wedding a couple days after having this baby, the possibility of having to give up dairy or any foods while nursing, and bringing a tiny baby out in the cold of winter.
@sekerabmo Why/how does nursing hurt while you're pregnant?? Aaaah just another ailment to add to the list! I have a friend who did it and she said nothing really changed. Edit: Also....screw that wedding LOL I wouldn't go
@Sekerambo So much solidarity... I literally gasp and cry out when she latches right now. I really want to make it just 1 more month until her second bday!
@SkiChic626 - With both pregnancies I have had nipple vasospasms from reynaud's phenomenon which causes horrible pain so I assume that is why. Luckily, it went away right after my dd was born so I am hoping I will be lucky again this time. The wedding is my brother's and dh, dd, and myself are all standing up. We are really close so I will definitely be there (unless we're in the hospital) but I did warn my future sil that I won't be the bridesmaid she's wanting me to be. She is younger and definitely is wanting the whole staying together the night before, doing everything together experience. She definitely doesn't get that there is a recovery period after having a baby.
Edited to add - another least- the flabby/loose skin stomach that takes a while to go back to normal.

Uuuugh I could hardly read what you even wrote, but hopefully it goes away once baby is born!! I guess you can't get out of the wedding then, lol, but what if you end up giving birth that day or are still in the hospital? Do you have a contingency plan?
@SkiChic626 - if I go into labor that day then, oh well. If I'm in the hospital then I will enjoy every minute with my sweet baby while my husband takes dd to the wedding. The wedding is 9 days after my due date and my dd was a due date baby so I'm hoping this one comes early.

I was a due date baby and my younger sister was a little early - so it's possible!
Most: Meeting Jack!!!!!, seeing DH realize he's a dad, getting to spend almost 5 months at home with my baby, eating any sushi roll I want, going offshore fishing, going on boat rides in general (there's so many areas off limits right now), DRINKING a freaking beer, riding my bike comfortably, getting back in shape, resuming my laser treatments, eating deli meat, having my name changed forever to Jack's mom!!
Least: Caring for the umbilical cord and a circumcised penis, healing my poor vag after childbirth, sharing Jack with everyone else, missing those little kicks, getting my period again
@skichik We are planning a trip to the Halloween party in October. Hopefully we can do it with a newborn! have fun on those coasters and maybe we will run into each other.
Re: GTKY: What are you most/least looking forward to?
