I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets curious about how people come up with their screen names or the stories behind them. Without sharing personal details, of course, what does your screen name mean and how did you come up with it?
Four summers in a row in high school & college I went on mission trips to Malawi. We did construction projects, AIDS home visits, and worked with rural children and youth through the organization World Relief. Sometimes one of the kids would just really stick with you. Tisunge (tis-OON-gay) is a little girl I got close to in June 2002 (602). It's been my SN for most things ever since.
DH was called Big Bear in college by a few (Big Bear was actually an off shoot of another nickname). My name means princess, but DH refused to acknowledge it meant princess. He went with the second definition of Lady. Eventually one day it came to his mind that if he was Big Bear then I was Lady Bear. Lady Bear stuck with him... occasionally when we are around people he just calls me LB. We graduated in '10.
Mine is my first name plus I have a zoo lol. ok not an actual zoo,but as a vet tech I've always got a vast assortment of pets (currently 3 dogs, 2 cats , a rabbit, a guinea pig and 4 fish tanks....)
This is fun. I'm always curious about the names I see on here. Sunshine has always been a term of endearment in my family. Plus, we live in northern ND where we only get to enjoy the sunshine for a small portion of the year.
DH and I met at a summer camp. The other staff members thought it would be cute to combine our names (like Bennifer or Brangelina), and it stuck. 70 was DH's football number.
I am not that creative. I live in the midwest. I am having a baby.

Well, my name is Caroline (shocker!!!) And I started using this sn in middle school. My mom has a super strong southern accent and my friends all got a kick out of her calling my name to come to the phone. "Kayyyyroliiiiiiiine!"
Mine is a German word that means embarrassment felt on behalf of someone else (think watching Michael Scott on The Office or watching someone screw up on stage). My husband and I love the word because there isn't an English equivalent, yet it is a very common feeling. We shout it at the TV whenever there are those unbearably awkward moments where characters are making asses of themselves.

dang. I was really hoping yours was because of the Outcast song--at least that how I pictured it!
Mine is from when I was younger. My mom made a macaroni and tomato sauce (puréed diced tomatoes) dinner. I said it was delicious but my d sounded like a t. It stuck ever since. And the number 2 is just because.

@kristynmac@jamiesc58 Hahaha omg when that song came out in high school people sang it at me all the time! But I didn't really like it because if you listen to the lyrics, it's not a very nice song about this particular Caroline . . . He says he hopes she crashes into a ditch . . . But the flip side is people sing Sweet Caroline to me more often and that's quite nice
mine is boring too.. initials and birthdate. Clearly, I was being really creative when I made it.
Ditto
Ah yes, but they are awesome initials

The nurses called DD1 Tinkerbell after she was born. (They said she looked like she had pixie dust all over her when they were bathing her . And the numbers are her birthday.

Mine is a reference to my favorite tv show (twin peaks - also where my profile pic is from). I'm also pretty book-obsessed so it worked for both.
