So I will be traveling to a Marketing Conference from Boston to Las Vegas at the end of June (I'll be 31 weeks). As a FTM I am a little intimated by the travel and being so far fro my family even though it is still early. I was told my husband can come as long as he pays for his own flight. So now I am pretty excited to get this little trip in with H at minimal cost.
I am booking flights now and am struggling because I am not sure what I should do. We are going to fly out Tuesday night and get in at 11pm Las Vegas time for the conference Wed, Thurs and Friday. Each day I am done at 5, so then H and I have the rest of the time together. My hotel is booked through Saturday by my company, but the only direct flights out Saturday are the red eye at like midnight. There is the same red eye Friday night as well.
As appealing as having all day Saturday together to do what we want... I am worried about having to be out of the hotel and not having a place to rest from noon to midnight...
So should we take the red eye Friday or Saturday? How much is there to do in Vegas for a pregnant lady? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Re: Las Vegas and Pregnant - Advice needed!!
Is the direct just way longer than one with one stop? I would totally take one stop (especially with no plane change) over a red eye but that's just me.

I would also stay through Saturday. Stay in the hotel for as long as you can and then like others said if you want to go to the pool do that, although you won't have a place to shower if that's what you want to do. They will most likely hold your luggage at the hotel until you go to the airport. I went to Vegas at the beginning of June last year and in Mid-July a few years prior and in June it was 90+ degrees and in July it was 115. Even though its a dry heat, I couldn't imagine walking around in that for a long amount of time while being 31 weeks pregnant. If you like to gamble, see shows, eat, shop, etc there are plenty of other fun things to do in the A.C.!

Maybe when our August babies are a little older, we'll have to have an TB August 2016 trip to Vegas so we can all go see Britney LOL

I went for my birthday and it was the same day she broke up with her ex-boyfriend. She addressed the cheating rumors on stage and we were all like...

If you could get late checkout pushed back to really late in the day, I think it would be fun to stay the extra time. Depending on where you are staying, you may not have to get outside too much (it will be so hot in Vegas). If the hotel was ok with late checkout, I would plan on doing pool time, then getting cleaned up in your room and maybe walking around some of the connected hotels (Palazzo and Venetian are really pretty and you can go in between without going outside). Then the Wynn is just right next door and it always has beautiful things to look at. Maybe make a reservation at one of the restaurants there for supper and just head to the airport after that.
Also, I actually sorta disagree about the heat. Most of the times I've been to Vegas it's been over the summer and I LOVE it! Yes, it's like 100-110 degrees everyday but it's God awfully dry, nothing like the humidity in the NE in the summer. While I wasn't pregnant there any of the times over the summer, I found the dry heat to be extremely bearable, and I don't do well with heat even not pregnant. The humidity makes it worse, but there's literally 0 there. I just walked around Disney for a week and it was in the 90s and somewhat humid and I was actually OK.
You also might want to just check with your OB to make sure they're OK with you flying, that far nonetheless, at 31 weeks. I personally think it's totally fine, but my current OB won't let her patients fly after 28 weeks, and her partner won't let them fly after 24 weeks. He once had a 24 week patient go into labor on the plane. She had no other complications, it was purely pressure-related. So after that he strongly advises against it. Whatevs lol. My midwives probably wouldn't have blinked an eye as long as my pregnancy was still healthy. But just make sure....

I did a prenatal massage at Caesars Palace and it was expensive but amazing! You can buy a day pass for the spa for a cheaper price, and enjoy all the amenities for the whole day. However it seemed like the spa was separated by gender so it might not be a good activity for you and your husband. I also really enjoyed time by the pool, drinking mocktails, and all of the different ice cream shops on the strip. It was 95 degrees one of the days, but it really didn't feel that warm to me. Whatever you decide to do, I'd recommend bringing lots of comfy shoes. I did so much walking (10-15 miles every day), and my feet started to hurt no matter what shoes I wore. It was nice to change into different shoes throughout the day because they all hurt in different ways, and switching between pairs helped to "even things out", if that makes sense.
Now we'll also be with the rest of my coworkers while waiting for our flight so I am sure we will find things to do!
