This wtf actually happened yesterday but whatever. DH and I are moving on June 13. Got home from work yesterday to see that he and My MIL (who came down for his graduation last Saturday) packing up already and they took down everything on our walls that makes our house a home. Now I get to live in house full of boxes with no pictures for 3 weeks. So depressing.
WTF: I can't seem to walk into any bathroom without wanting to vomit from smell aversion. I mean, it's great that it's a convenient place to want to hurl but...
Winning: I was able to find a private doctor here in Denmark who was able to do a urine test and a blood test and ruled me having any kind of bacterial infection (since I've been ill twice while visiting here already) and thinks I just have a virus that will run its course *fingers crossed*. Can't believe I'm describing being immuno-compromised as a "win" but it's seriously awesome to rule certain things out.
WTF: WHYYYYYY is it still raining and cold? It's May 18th - it should be in the 70s to low 80s and instead we're in the 50s. WHHHYYYYY?
Winning: The hubz went on a trip this week to Chicago and brought me back chocolate-covered orange peels. That man is worth his weight in gold.
That sounds incredible. Was there a particular place he got them from?
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. He knows I love chocolate and orange, saw them and thought it would help me feel less physically shitty. The man was correct. He knows me so well

Amazing! Chocolate brought home from a trip is always the best!
WTF: Threw up while brushing my teeth. So I had to brush them again. I'm a little lazy.
Winning: Got approved to take my nursing boards so I've scheduled a date! Hoorah!
Ugh, I was close this morning to doing that. Gagged a little and it was a tense few minutes there. Congrats on your approval to take the nursing boards and good luck!

Winning Wednesday: I planned a big office carry-in lunch for our student workers. It was a beach theme and I bought some cute decorations to brighten the place up. The food was amazing and the students were really happy--I am so glad it went well!

I'll second the WTF to the weather. I'm co-planning my school district's yearly outdoor arts festival for this Saturday and it's supposed to be 58 and rainy! Ahhhhh! Trying to figure out how to fit it all indoors...
WTF: DD's perfect sleep schedule has gone down the drain. She would normally sleep a total of 13-14 hours. In the last 24 hours, she slept maybe 11 total? Fx it's not ongoing.
Winning: DH has an interview scheduled for Monday! We're excited it's finally happening and hope we can move out of the bay area before too long
WTF: friends who know I'm pregnant getting upset that I don't want to stay out past 7pm due to exhaustion. Seriously? And one has children so should know!
Winning: Bought a few maternity clothes on Old Navy's website and saved 50% due to clearance and online sales. Heck yeah!

WTF: work has been crazy insane. I work in cardiac/cardiovascular/pulmonary ICU as a nurse. I was charge nurse last night and we already had 3 traumas on our floor because trauma/neuro ICU has been full. On top of the three traumas (we don't normally have these) i had to admit TWO more over night. One doctor came in and talked to one of the patients and family and told them "we will try to get you transferred to trauma ICU tomorrow. This is cardiac and they really don't know what to do if something bad happens." excuse me??? 1. You don't tell a patient that because obviosuly if tjere is something we dont know how to do we willtalk with neuro and 2. My nurse i gave that patient was more than capable of handling this but thanks for this diss. And 3. We are the unit that carries the code pager. Why?? Because we know what to do "when something bad happens"
Winning: i work night shifts so i sleep during the day. Today i slept GREAT. And tonight is my last shift before i am off. We are taking out the ATVs this weekend. Yes i made the decision to ATV this summer. I've had everything striped away from me that i love (margaritas, cold cuts, gardening, caffiene) this pregnancy isn't taking away my summer of ATVing. Obviosuly I'll be taking it very easy. No jumps or crazy trails
WTF: DH and I are running on fumes. It's the 3rd week straight of 13-14 hour days, 7 days a week. Only one week left until this God awful schedule is over. I'm desperate for a little help around here, I'm exhausted and feel like crap.
Winning: We got to spend the day with Grammy and Papa. I love having another adult or two to talk to, it makes the day go by so much quicker and completely brightens my mood. Another bonus, my brother is on vacation this week and is planning to visit tomorrow which basically makes DS1's day every time.
WTF to the professor who runs the monthly journal club. I have requested to be added to the email list 3 times now, and I STILL have to find out through my lab mate that seminar is today. Of course, I had already started an experiment with specific time points, so I had to pause it, because I'm required to go to this stupid journal club. Now I'm leaving work 1.5 hours later than normal, to go home and practice my presentation for Friday, which will probably keep me up past my current 9 pm bedtime. Ugh.
