What is everyone calling their bean(s) these days? 

We are calling ours Cletus the Fetus right now (even though it's still in the embryonic stage of development) 

If by chance there happen to be two in there we'll call 'em Burt and Gert.

Peanut seems to be the nickname that stuck for us ever since we got our BFP.

Parmesan bc we've been spelling out pregnant around the kids and, when DH was saying 'bc you're P-r-e....', my 4 yr old piped up with 'mama's Parmesan?' It's a perfect code word around the kids until we're ready to tell them. 

My  first was nicknamed baguette bc she was conceived in France. My poor second kid did t really get a nn.

We don't even talk about it/him/her as a person yet...I guess that's kind of weird.  I think we will both be guarded until we hear a heartbeat and get our genetic tests back.  We always called DD1 "bean" though...nothing too creative.

@spano41  same! We haven't talked about it that much BC I'm super nervous and we've been busy with my daughter and I being sick. We'll have to think of something silly though BC now I feel bad for not giving it a nn lol

When we were first dating, we would purposefully call each other ridiculous, over-the-top nicknames like "Googly Bear" or "Sugar Biscuit" as a joke. One of those names was "Doodle Bug" and it has kind of stuck. We've taken to calling the baby Doodle Bug as it seems like a gender-neutral nickname.

But for some unknown reason, my SIL has been calling the baby "Dragon." It really annoys me, but at the same time I laugh, because then that would make me Mother of Dragon(s).

This is so fun!!
We just got our BFP yesterday.. but since this morning we have been calling it our little poppyseed.  I told him I could feel our poppyseed imbedding his/her self into my ute.  He made a chomping noise.. and I told him that chomping sounded bigger than a poppyseed... but he said it was what it would sound like lol (so I wouldn't call it a nickname yet, I'll report back in a few weeks)

My Husband calls it whatever my app says it is the size of that week, it was a sesame seed , now we call it a pea, next week will be blueberry. I called it Baby B. Our last name starts with a B. My 5 year old son just calls it baby

We either say baby or "leach the second" if I'm not feeling well. We joke around and call DD1 "the leach" whenever she makes plans
more difficult than pre-kids lol. It's in a loving way I promise.

We were tossing baby names around, and my husband got to googling. He found a list of less orthodox baby names, and suggested the name "Erskine" if it was a boy. I said I thought it sounded like a viking name, so hence I'm currently carrying "Erskine the Terrible". Don't worry, that nickname is not sticking around, but my husband is a bit like a dog with the bone, so the novelty needs to wear off before I think of something else to replace it. 

*No offence to any Erskines out there.

No cute name yet, but DD was called olive because that was how big she was by the time my sister found out via a birthday card. So it stuck. We teased with the idea of the name Olivia as her real name but felt it was way too popular for our liking. It's still such a pretty name.

I was calling it my little dumpling for a couple weeks, but my husband hated it.  He prefers calling the baby whatever size fruit the app says it's the same size as.  So right now we have a blueberry.

@cabu14  We called ours poppyseed too the first week. Then peppercorn and now little pea. 

I think we will just keep the trend for awhile until something sticks! Or one of the stages sounds too funny

Right after getting a BFP, OH and I spent half an hour just sharing baby names, which were growing more and more ridiculous and dumb as we went on. So he eventually said "Damascus Pumpkin Spice [his last name]" and I don't know why, but it stuck. So every time I've been concerned about the pregnancy at all, he'll hug me and say, "Don't worry, Damascus Pumpkin Spice will be just fine." 

In the spirit of this video, I've been referring to it as "babby" lol

Nothing too exciting, but still pretty darn cute, I think. We call ours Little Bean. My husband started it. His nickname for me is Little + (my first name) so he calls us his littles.

We've been doing poppy seed too--we don't really care that it's not that size anymore.  The name is too adorable.

@cabu14  and @zdmd_14I've been calling ours "poppyseed" due to its size right now too! Also though I laughed so hard when @cabu14 --you posted somewhere yesterday about sneezing and thinking "oh shit, my poppyseed!" I feel the EXACT same way.

Right now we're not really calling it anything. Maybe 'baby' occasionally... but mostly it ebbs up being a circular type of comment

Still looking for the right fit. DD was Lil Pea while I was pregnant with her because DH's nickname for me is Sweet Pea. We still call her Pea now. I keep referring to this one as Pea 2.0 until I can think of something better.

A friend of mine started calling it Benndolynn which is combination of the names we have picked out and it stuck haha

@canavara We sometimes refer to ours as "the babby" (also in the spirit of the "how is babby formed?" video) too!

More specifically, we've recently started calling it "the dreaded Laramie," which is said in the spirit of a (huge beautiful) Clickhole quiz entitled "Which One of My Garbage Sons Are You?"
