Hey everyone! I'm 14 weeks and 3 days along and I still have so much trouble eating! Food is just so unappetizing! I'm scared my baby isn't getting enough so I drink ensure when I feel like I really can't eat. Anyone else in the same boat?
Your body will prioritize the baby over you. Whatever you do eat, plus whatever your body breaks down from your fat stores etc will go to baby first and then you.
I'd talk to your OB if you're concerned about your intake.
@comealongponds That's what people keep telling me. I do eat, just not as much as before I was pregnant. I just got into my second trimester so I'm hoping it gets better. I have an appointment with my midwife this week and I'm going to see what she has to say about. Thanks for your help!
Kind of, yeah. I've never had MS in the sense of nausea and vomiting but sometimes there is just nothing that sounds good to eat. DH & I were out and about yesterday and decided to grab dinner while we were out. We were driving around FOREVER trying to decide what to get and everything we passed sounded terrible. DH was annoyed, to say the least lol. Both running on low blood sugar... eventually went with fish & chips.
I'm hitting almost 13wks, so still in first tri, but gosh - nausea is kicking my butt! Never had MS until the last few weeks and it gets worse around evenings afternoons
I think a lot of ladies here are still sick and/or have food aversions. I know I'm still getting sick regularly and basically live on crackers. I didn't feel better until week 17 or 18 with DD so I'm hoping it will be similar this time. Some people are sick the whole pregnancy.
I'm coming out of the hyperemesis fog, and I expected my hunger level to go way up, but it hasn't. Chicken has seemed so gross to me - but I can definitely chow down on watermelon.
Yes, I'm 13w3d and still have aversions and MS. I'm always starving but everything is gross and doesn't always take the nausea away when I do eat. When I go more than 2 hours without choking something down my nausea is really bad, if I eat then I'm still nauseous. I feel much better than a few weeks ago, but I still feel like crap. I wasn't like this at all with my son.

I'm 14 weeks and oscillating between nausea/food aversions and having days where I actually want real food. Huge improvement over a week ago. Hopefully it starts getting better for you soon.
Right now fruit and chocolate milk pretty much sound amazing. Everything else, blech.
At 15 wks I'm starting to come out of the food aversions a bit. I ate a huge burrito Friday night and again on Saturday. Then yesterday and today I didn't want much for dinner. I eat anyways though to keep ms at bay.
I've still been getting MS every once in a while but most days I feel ok. I definitely am hungry and things sound good but I've found I eat way less now than before I was pregnant. Like I get full faster, I thought it would be the opposite.
I have the hardest time with deciding what to eat. I want pretty much nothing to do with chicken. I don't eat dinner most nights or only eat the vegetables because my ms is the worst from like 4pm on. Some days i get relief and don't have any night sickness. I have thrown up once from eating a burrito but other than that it's just a blah feeling. I'm 12 weeks 3 days and I didn't deal with any of this with my son.
I'm practically insatiably hungry in the morning and afternoon. Around 4, I start feeling sick and have to force myself to eat dinner. Then around 7-8, the hunger kicks back in, and I must eat something before going to bed.
It's sad that the only time I don't want to eat is dinner, because DH puts hard work into cooking.

I am hungry though. Starving actually but when I try to eat it just isn't appetizing and so hard to get down.
I am hoping these hunger levels go up!
