Re: ***3rd Tri Check-In Week of 5/16***
39 Weeks here! I have my weekly appointment in two hours.
QOTW: I typed up a quick birth plan last Monday when we thought I might be in early labor. DH was supposed to print it out, I don't know if he did. I just put really basic stuff on there and it was a page long. If you make it too long, they won't read it.
Me: 31
DH: 29, SA - Great
Married: June 12,2011
TTC #1: 1/2014
Diagnosis: Hypothalamic Amenorrhea
Treatment: Clomid: 50mg, 100mg, 150mg - not successful and not monitored
Menopur 75ml (upped to 112.5ml), Ovidrel, & IUI IUI #1 8/31/2015
9/15/2015: BFP HCG - 400, 9/17/2015: HCG - 827, 9/21/2015 - HCG 3,327!I seem to finally be over a cold, so last night was the best sleep I've had in a little over a week. Besides being exhausted, I've been feeling great! At the end of last week, I found out I passed my GD test, which was a nice relief, and everything is measuring on time.
QOTW: I'm not having a birth plan. I'm just going to go with the flow. My hospital's standard practices include 1 hour skin to skin even with a c-section unless circumstances require otherwise due to mine or baby's condition. If I can't do skin to skin due to a c-section, DH will do it. There is also no nursery, so baby will be rooming in with us. That's really all I care about. Procedure-wise, I'll just trust my doctor's recommendations. It seems like everyone I know who has had a detailed birthplan had to completely throw it out the window as the baby had other plans.
QOTW: I do not have a birth plan. I didn't have one with my first either. I mean I did want to have a "regular" birth with my first. From my water breaking to going into labor and having a vaginal birth. Things didn't go that way so this time around my doctor is recommending that I have a repeat C-Section so that I don't have any complications with the scar on my uterus. I'm OK with that now, although I wasn't at first. I hate the fact that it will be planned. But, I am going to do what I need to do to be sure my baby is born happy and healthy. So C-Section at the end of July is my "plan" right now.

qotw: birth plan is go to the hospital as scheduled at 6am and hopefully meet our son around 8:30am.

9/15/2015: BFP HCG - 400, 9/17/2015: HCG - 827, 9/21/2015 - HCG 3,327!QOTW: I have to admit I love the "no birth plan" plans! I'm the same way.... leave it to the professionals and let them do their job by keeping us all safe and healthy! Plan is to just call/head to the hospital when I think I am in labor. I will labor in a normal room but most likely get transferred to the OR for delivery. With twins the chance of going to an emergency c-section and having other complications is obviously higher, so they like the delivery in the OR. They also recommend having an epidural, since if I do need to go the c-section route it'll already be in my system (or else I would need to be knocked out completely). So I am fine with just following their lead and just hope I don't have a crazy long labor and still end up with a C-section
QOTW: We don't have an official birth plan yet but we do plan on going over some preferences with our doctor. My goal is to have a completely natural, drug-free childbirth with the help of hypnobirthing (I know, I must be losing my mind haha). Obviously, if there is even the slightest complication that puts our baby in danger, I will welcome medical intervention for sure. Hypnobirthing encourages that parents have a set of birth preferences, so DH and I will be working with our doctor to create this plan. My doc is very open to the idea of a natural birth and luckily the hospital already is equipped with some natural child birthing equipment and techniques like labor tubs, nitrous oxide, birth balls, delayed cord clamping, immediate skin to skin, rooming in, etc.
It's so interesting to see everyone's take on this question. My cousin works in labor and delivery and told me that writing down your birth plan is pretty much a curse haha and that all goes out the window during labor! She did encourage us to still have preferences and share them with our doctor to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe
@NB817 Eeeeeee! How exciting!!!
QOTW: I have a birth plan, but it's minimal since our plan is to birth at home. It's primarily about if we transition where we will go and how we will integrate.

Seriously, the first ~7months went by so fast and now I feel like I have been pregnant FOREVER!
@TerraMae80 great bump and cute photobomber!!
I really don't have a birth plan. I will just go with the flow I guess.
I've starting getting very mild, random cramping as well so I am right there with you. 37 weeks is a great goal so I'm glad you will make it that far! I am feeling better knowing that others do not have a birth plan. I was wondering if I was missing out, but I prefer to just be relaxed and let the professionals guide me.
Happy Friday, Everyone! Maybe our group will have some babies this weekend
I keep waiting for big news from you!
@Binnie505 Why does your doctor think baby will come early? Going with the flow is probably a good idea, it will keep you from getting stressed. That's what I plan to do for the most part!
@mclorn I would not be mad if he comes soon! lol Tonight is a full moon, so who knows what may happen.
I've heard full moons have a funny effect on pregnant women!
