I am 30 weeks 6 days pregnant with twins and for almost a week now have been having contractions. I have been getting nonstress tests to monitor them and they aren't going away so my Dr. put me on bed rest and has me taking medication to try to slow the contractions down. They checked my cervix on Tuesday and it was still long and closed. But starting yesterday they've become more painful (it's difficult to breath through them) and now I'm getting period like cramps along with it. I'm not going into preterm labor am I?
sorry to break it to you but none of us can tell you if you are going into to preterm labor. That is a very good question for your dr or a nurse line if you have one.
Also so we have a really nice symptoms thread you can use to share symptoms and get feedback on instead of starting your own thread.
Hope those babies stay out but seriously when it comes to preterm labor concerns do not consult the Internet call your dr
Oh ok. but literally your question was whether you were going into preterm labor. Even if someone had experienced something similar, no one besides a medical professional would be able to tell you the answer to that question.
Here we go again... ask a question get an answer and complain that the answer wasn't what you wanted. Aside from the problem that you've used the word retard in an incorrect and derogatory context.. And you called users of one of our threads bitches.. No one tore you down, and similarly no one cares that you're leaving the boards. Can't report you because I'm mobile, but I'm sure the rest of the regs will. The only one who can delete threads are admins and that's frowned upon. Maybe if you'd lurked you'd know that.
1)I reported you and hope others do as well since you violated several tou violations and used a disgusting vile term (the r word) which should not be used and makes the user look not only ignorant but honestly makes them lose any and all credibility they may have had before.
2) You gave the impression that you are in a serious situation that you very well could have and go into preterm labor. So you were given very serious answers because people care enough to not be callous and just say "maybe" or "well in my case.." Because it doesn't matter what their case was you are completely different. You were also simply directed to a better forum for your question while also getting answers.
3 ) you barely post here you rarely offer support to other women. So spare us demands to give you just the right answer you want. You get answers you don't get to dictate the responses especially when the answers were way more helpful than annecdotal stories. Honestly I'm so turned off by your response I will be hard pressed to offer support and I'm sure others now feel the same way.
4) you want the community support then own up that you alone are the one who messed up in here with that "tirade" you just went on and offer support to other ladies instead of randomly showing up and demanding it for yourself
Are you fucking kidding? We can't tell you if you are going into preterm labor, and that's pretty damn serious so to come back with such an unbelievably rude response when people suggest calling your doctor (which is by the way what they recommend if you suspect preterm labor) is ridiculous.
And I hope you don't teach your child to use that kind of derogatory language. The "r word", really? Gross. Thanks for clogging up the board with that offensive crap.
I'm so appalled by the derogatory language and entitlement with this post. Let me get this straight, you clearly don't come on the board that often but when people kindly provide you with a response you lash out on them? Ummm ok. You know this isn't a paid service right? You can't treat people who answer your questions like crap and get mad when they give you an honest answer. You have to give support to get support. Also, if you're so smart and you know to talk to your doctor then why are you asking women on here a medical question?!??? You didn't ask if other women had gone through similar experiences, you basically asked for a diagnosis. Just today there was just another woman who was experiencing contractions and what did she do? She called her doctor before bumping about it!! You know, the exact same thing PPs advised you to do.
P.S. The use of the "r" word is vile and disgusting.
So you don't like it when advised to call a doctor because you think you're in preterm labour? That makes perfect sense. Thanks for the super offensive language, that'll teach us a lesson
These posts are as useful as posting a thread with the title "Ladies, do you think I need to pee?" Don't get yourself in such a fuss because people can't tell you whats going on with your body. There's no person here who can give you advice, apart from telling you to call your doctor, than your actual doctor. No need to get all rude.
I just really want to add how stupid this post is. Spoken to a doctor multiple times, put on bed rest and meds to stop contractions. If it quacks like a duck...
Re: Contractions and menstrual like cramps
Labor is contractions with cervical change.
