Irritability mood cures

Anyone having increased mood swings? I have become overly sensitive these days, but biggest issue is irritability/anger. I get enraged and highly annoyed for no reason.

I'm sure this isn't good for baby - and it's probably increasing my blood pressure too. Anyone have any tips? Other than exercise, stretching, deep breathing, herbal relax teas, watching comedy films?? These aren't really making a difference.

  • Your hormones are surging and it's natural. First tri was a doozy for me for this exact reason. Make sure you get "me time" and do something for yourself once a week, be it go for a walk, grab a coffee (if you're still drinking coffee, like I am...) or even get a pedicure or massage.

  • I tried to figure out the triggers.  The
hormones make me more susceptible to being angry and annoyed, but there were still specific events that set it off.  Once I knew what those things were I figured out ways to address the ones I could.  for example, being tired is a huge trigger for me so DH essentially have a no talking rule after 9pm since any conversation at that point just made me mad.  Also trying to decide dinner each night drove me insane so now we meal plan for the week so there's not a discussion each night.
