Hi all, I plan to have my baby in a mini crib next to my bed and hope to breastfeed at night while still relaxing/reclining in bed. (For daytime, I have a glider). Question: do you have any recommendations for a good pillow to use for sitting up in bed? I have a short, wooden headboard that will not be comfortable at all for sitting against (therefore I never sit up in bed). I've googled breastfeeding pillows, but they are all pillows to rest the baby on. I want to know what I should rest myself on!
I just proped my pillow I usually use the long way. Then, I mastered nursing while laying on my side, that's the best and most comfortable, for me, while in bed.
I have an iron headboard and it is not comfortable to sit up against even with pillows and this made it so much easier to feed at night with my boppy, I still use it to sit up in bed and read.
I second what @crsanchez87 said, wish I had one the first time around. The bigger issue I thought was the nursing pillow that holds the baby. Using regular pillows for that sucks, but you can pile whatever pillows you have up behind you.
I agree as well... I never sit up when nursing in my bed. I lay on my side and rest my head on a regular pillow. If I were to sit up, the type of pillow that @crsanchez87 mentioned would be the way to go!
