Here is what a REAL Mother's Day is like

DD is learning to swim.  She is almost 5. We went to the Y today and were going out to lunch after. So we were in the locker room to change and I asked her if she wanted to change in the stall with me or have her own stall. She opted to share.

So in the changing stall, I take my swim top off and DD says (loudly)
"wow! Mommy!! Your boobies are gigantic!! Why are they so gigantic? And they are floppy! Why are they floppy? Is it because the baby?"
yup. Totally the baby's fault. So them I put my bra on...."mommy why do you need that?  To keep your boobies from flopping all around?"

With that over, I proceed to remove my swim bottoms. "Mommy! Why is there hair on your lady parts?  I don't have hair on my lady parts!"  OMFG. Thank all that is holy that we were alone in that locker room.

So there you go ladies....Mother's Day (and the rest of your life) in a nutshell

And this is why I am vehemently against waxing my lady parts. I want our children to know it's normal and natural to have body hair down there. I have tried to explain this to my husband multiple times, but he doesn't get it. Kids are freaking curious and very observant!

  • I laughed out loud just now, my almost 5-year-old DD snuggling beside me, being able to relate 200%
She comments on my boobs and belly regularly, as she notices changes, regardless of the company around haha
  • Kids are so cute. My daughter is the same. I agree about the hair thought my DH thought I should clean up for my dr I told him to go shave his own parts then I'd thik about it. I also informed him I am sick of doing it the hair is there as a bacteria protector now if he asks I send him by text information on the benefits of pubic hair.

Lol. I teach anatomy to high schoolers. We are covering the reproductive system and the benefits of pubic hair was a hot topic of conversation the other day.
