I've been reading and running small errands. I started reading for pleasure more on bedrest and I'm keeping up with it. I've also been trying to keep the house neat and doing things like bringing my car in for maintenance and cleaning, getting my hair and nails done, etc.
Too tired/ in pain to do much cleaning, which is a pain because our house needs it. Instead I've just been doing a lot of hanging out with people because I know my freedom will soon be coming to an end Last night I went out to dinner with girlfriends, today we are having a bunch of people over to grill, and tomorrow my husband & son are making me brunch. Plus tomorrow night we are going to watch dumb action movies together once the kid goes to bed, because that's what we did when I was waiting to go into labor last time. Monday I'm being induced!
@Aquinna82 MH is in overdrive too! Never have I seen him this determined to complete so many projects! Melts my heart a little to see how devoted and in love he already is with our baby girl. I can't wait to see him holding her!
I've just been trying to reorganize anything and everything. Also, sleeping. I haven't been very successful this pregnancy and I don't think I'll be getting a ton when baby makes her arrival. I realized though, I'm really going to miss just hanging out with MH and having each other's undivided attention. I really hope that's something we don't lose!
Today started my ML and I'm bored already. Took a walk today, installed the car seat. Taking a walk tomorrow. And Monday. And Tuesday.... One day this week I'm going to get a pedi. We need cushions for the outside chairs so I'll swing to tjmaxx and do some shopping. Would like to plant some flowers on the deck. And I have some cleaning to do around the house. Just gotta get to Thursday without going insane!!
Specifically I'm arguing about the adequacy of a state-law jury instruction on accomplice liability as reviewed under the deferential standard of AEDPA. I have been working on this argument for three weeks. I am doing this because, literally, a trial judge was unable to just read three paragraphs off a piece of paper without screwing it up.
That was just too darn hard for the guy, so here we are: me banging this crap out a week before my due date.
On ML, I'm SO TIRED!!! Due tomorow! I could probably sleep all day. Been spending way too much time on facebook. Today I decided to finish up a few sewing projects for Mijo. I've finished his blankets. Seeing is probably the best way to pass the time. Avoiding making dinner....
I've been busier than usual with preschool drop offs/pick-ups, playground trips, t-ball practice, OB appointments, NST's, shopping trips (for the most mundane things like tooth paste, peanut butter and Gatorade...can never have too much lol), and cleaning like crazy. I finally finished organizing our garage and plan on tackling the back porch this week. I also want to plant some flowers in pots and get vegetable plants in the ground but I'm not sure if I will have the time (or energy). I can barely function in the evenings since I'm so sore and having lots of contractions so I'm going to try to relax when I hit 39 weeks- I'll need all my strength to get through the birth and afterwards with a newborn!
I also spend way too much time on this app reading stories and commenting. Oh and being super jealous of all the mommies already having their babies! Lol

I don't have a mind to lose because I already chase after a toddler all day. So I stay busy as possible doing baby chores after my toddler is in bed. So much to do! Right now I am working on freezer meals. After that I will be doing my dog's nails, giving them baths, and cleaning ears/teeth. Then on to the rest of the list. My toddler took a super rare nap today so it is going to be one long night trying to balance finishing lists for baby and also keeping my toddler safe, happy, and entertained as naps always push back bed time by a lot. Due on Monday.
Since I found out I'm being induced a few weeks before my due date, I've been trying to cross off my month long cleaning/getting ready checklist. So it's been a lot of cleaning and making freezer meals. Also trying to balance that with relaxing and sleeping since I know there won't be much of that soon!
I feel for all you first time mommas! I have 3 littles to chase/clean/feed/water...damn they sound like pets. Currently DS3 is trying to bite DS1 while DS2 laughs about it.
Well, today, DH and I went to breakfast, then I went to Target to get some things, got my hair cut, vacuumed the middle level of our house, and then we went to a painting class date thing.
Tomorrow, church, lunch probably, then be lazy I guess. I already celebrated mother's day with all my moms and mother in law...
I actually started playing games again. Because I am THAT bored and frustrated.
I also read.
I have done mostly everything on my list except freezer meals, but my mom is nesting on my behalf (or so it seems) so she has taken that over. She's even written instructions for my DH (haha).
Nine days (or 216 hours) left to go until I leave for my c-section. But who's counting?
Honestly it's pretty tough when 90% of the conversations other than those with DH are about when LO will make his appearance.
Other than work, walking, bouncing on my birthing ball (super restless legs), and attempting to get enough rest, I really don't do much.
I can't sit through church nor the movie theater anymore due to getting overheated and dealing with my dang legs. I enjoy reading, but my attention span is nonexistant these days.
I'd love some ideas for fun things to do to take my mind off things!
At least LO's EDD is only 2 days away and will be here in 9 at the latest (OB will have me induced if I make it to 41 weeks).
I've been rotating between my baby books: happiest baby on the block, what to expect- the first year, baby signing basics and be bilingual. Finally finished Ina may's guide to child birth and when not reading or napping been binge watching the mentalist (which usually brings on naptime!)
Working and still working on a nursery. I have plenty of weeks worth to do around the house if I feel up to it before my EDD. That's one positive about not getting the nursery set up months in advance. I am not sitting around twiddling my thumbs. Time has never gone by so fast!
Normal toddler activities-walks, Gymboree, playing outside. We installed a fence around our backyard yesterday that I am so pumped about!
&&& I started a new job on Thurs! It's a part time stylist at Stitch Fix and it is sooo fun! I'm trying to squeeze it in during naps, after bedtime...I'm tired but I love it!!

I was looking into stitchfix. Can you tell me a bit about it?
I've been shopping at Target I keep going. I did this with a newborn to, just strolling about. It's so silly!
Okay fine that's just part of it. I'm still working (until Wednesday) so I'll have more time to fill soon. With DS it's actually much easier to pass the time. We are busy doing toddler things while I fail miserably in my attempts to keep up with housework. Meanwhile I'm finalizing some to dos like cleaning out a closet and touching up paint in the nursery.
I've reached a point where my back/hips/knees hurt too much to be able to do a lot, so the only nesting I've been doing recently is folding/hanging up all the laundry that DH brings to me, and writing thank you notes, etc. Stuff that can be done mostly sitting down.
When I'm not doing any of that, I'm either reading, bumping, or falling down the deep dark rabbit holes that are Tumblr/Reddit. And the code for my online breastfeeding class finally came in, so I need to get on that...
I've been on ML for 3 weeks due to some health concerns, so the house is pretty clean aside from small tasks daily. Our dishwasher has been out of commission for a month and our new one is too big but we're waiting for my dad to come router the cabinet to get it to fit. So I do a LOT of dishes, partially because I do a LOT of eating. I get bored since DH leaves for work between 1230 and 1 and we barely know anyone in our town, so I'm home often myself. I play a lot of games on my phone and binge watch Netflix. Trying to do some outdoor work too....weeded the entire garden this weekend!
Today's to do list take a walk pedicure swiffer floors clean kitchen nap make dinner
I have a mini list like this for tomorrow and weds as well. As much as I can do until bedtime when I'll be 3 days away from baby day to help pass the time.
@yogahh I really need to get a pedicure! What a nice treat for ourselves before the baby comes!
And if she can induce labor, she will get a really nice tip!!
Haha definitely!! With my first I went to my 40 week appointment and was disappointed to be only dilated 3, so I got a pedicure and other treats and went into labor that night. Who knows, it could have been the pedicure
I have been nesting like crazy! I finally get to meet our little baby bean next Tuesday!!!! It has been a long pregnancy, and I'm ready to see her face
Dr. Appointments including dentist bc who knows when I'll make time to go after she's born. Cleaning, cooking, spending time with friends, graduations... I feel like it's just busy in general and I'm okay with that!
What games are you ladies playing on your phones? I'm bored with FB and Pinterest. 40+2 today. House is clean. Laundry is done. Food is ready. Baby things are ready. I'm. Bored.
Basically my list for the next 2 weeks is: Catch up on my daily chores (if I stick to it my life is so much easier) Finish the nursery Redo the laundry room (this is more for DH lol) Read a book or two (harder than it sounds with 3 kiddos) Or I'll distract myself with Pinterest things Field trips/End of the school year stuff for the 2 older kids Meal plan...if I don't do freezer meals I will stock up on other essentials (rice, canned goods, etc) Pamper myself (I need a trim, color possibly, and definitely a pedicure) Car maintenance and cleaning Walking... since that's all I seem to be able to manage with this stupid PSD Shopping Fixing up my front yard/porch since I really wanna spend most of my time after baby out there having bbq for dinner
If you're really bored, Google best reddit threads ever. I fell into a horrible, horrible rabbit hole on Reddit last night when I couldn't sleep. I couldn't believe some of the things I was reading but it kept me mindlessly entertained for hours.
