Infertility

Distraction: what are you doing this weekend?

Hi Girls, we're all worried and waiting for something. I'm sticking around these boards for awhile until I feel comfortable to move on. Plus I just love you all. Anyway no fertility talk here. What's everyone's plans this weekend? I'm just cooking and cleaning all weekend to host both sides of our family for Mother's Day. Luckily everyone gets along.

Re: Distraction: what are you doing this weekend?

  • DH and I are going to a wine festival on the grounds of Montpelier (James Madison) with another couple on Saturday. It will be nice to enjoy the weather and have a few sips of wine now that retrieval is over!

@Drove2u so nice that you'll have both families together! @mtpbadger wine tastings are the best!
Hopefully getting some weeding in tomorrow if the rain holds off! We're going to try to go out tomorrow night - not sure where but we both like to dress up a little and feel fancy :) Then we're hosting my in-laws for dinner on Mothers Day - my parents and my 2 sisters who are mothers are all out of town!

Oh yes it's been raining too here. And I have some veggies to plant outside so hopefully the rain clears tomorrow. And forgot that I have a dinner party with friends tomorrow. Not sure what I'm going to say yet of why I'm not drinking. Ha!

  • Taking a family photo at the beach all in blue!  It's for my moms Mother's Day gift. Sunday probably just relaxing oh and cleaning but not too much I was advised to take it easy.
  • Mainly chores around the house and looking up some new recipes. I wanted to try out a new yoga studio in my area but I'm not sure if the classes workout with my schedule this weekend.  I also want to change up some decor around my house, nothing major- just a bit of a spring/summer change. So maybe I will spend some time online to get some ideas.

I'm going to haul ass getting things done around my acreage. We live in Alberta, the province that is currently burning to the ground and having massive layoffs at the same time. So times are tough, even without the damn infertility. So I feel that if I work like a mad hornet, it will help me cope with everything that is out of my control
  • I haven't been feeling well at all from my meds but I felt a tiny bit better today so I went downtown for a bit and checked out a craft fair and an LGBT festival going on.  I'm really tired now.  Hoping to do nothing but lay around and watch TV tomorrow! :)
