  • My grandma wanted to keep DD1 over night until Saturday, with no hesitation I said yes please. Even with DD2 being 4 weeks old, it still feels like a break. Mama needed this break after this week!

  • Yesterday when Mason had not fallen asleep by 4am, and just insisted on eating more every 45 minutes, I had a moment when I considered "well if I put him in his crib in the nursery, close the door, and set my alarm for 3 hours from now I won't hear him crying, and I could finally get some sleep..."

I mean shit I knew he wasn't starving!

  • I've had a couple times in the middle of the night where I've heard the baby poop after I fed him but he was already swaddled and asleep so I left it alone.  Never wake a sleeping baby, right?
This is why I always keep her butt buttered up with butt paste. Half the time it's just a wet sounding fart and I'm not chancing waking her up for a fart.
  • You're 22 years old with two kids. Fucking act like it. Don't bitch about how everyone else in your family had it good. You're the baby and got fucking everything. There are now three new kids in the house they kinda need your parents attention more. Not they're grandkids who they're only suppose to spoil not care for. And I swear to God if you lay your hands on my dog again or threaten him in anyway. I will come unglued on your ass. You don't see me complaining about your parents not being around for my 3 week old. Nope not at all and you've got three months on me and three more years of child raising experience under your belt and I'm actually raising my child. Go sit in a corner and shut up.
  • Confession: R is actually a really good sleeper and gives me a 6 hour stretch most nights, nurses, and goes back to sleep for 3-4 more hours.

Please don't hate me. I am sure it won't last forever.

Lo just did almost 6 hrs. I hope it doesn't come back to bite me in the ass trying to put him back to bed...
  • My confession: Last night I tried to wake LO up after 3 hours since we are still trying to reach her birth weight. She would not wake up even with lots of prodding. So I went back to sleep and set an alarm for an hour later. I know she needs to eat every three hours but I also know she ate the most she's ever eaten yesterday (the app I use to keep track of feedings clocked 5 1/2 hours on the boob yesterday!) So I barely even feel guilty about it. Can't wait until she reaches her birth weight!

I was told that as long as they eat at least 8 times in a 24-hour period and make an appropriate number of wet/dirty diapers that I didn't have to worry about waking E up even before she reached her birth weight, since we didn't have other complications. No judgement - good sleep is hard to come by!
