You moms are so savvy when it comes to getting a good deal, so I thought I'd pose a bargain-hunting question to this board...
any thoughts on how to get a discounted Baby Jogger City Mini GT Double stroller? I have my heart set on it, and it retails for about $580 (yikes!). I'd love to get a new one, but it pains me to pay full price. The 20% off coupon at BBB excludes Baby Jogger, and the BRU coupons usually do, too. I should've jumped when Pish Posh Baby had them on sale a month or so ago. I'm also on the look-out for an excellent quality used one, but no luck so far.
@PeachGal23 have you checked amazon? I was hunting for a jujube diaper bag, and found one on amazon $40 less than its usual price. If anyone is selling it cheaper, amazon matches it, so if you scour hard enough you might find one cheaper. Just make sure it's backed by Amazon if you do find one cheaper, just in case.
@PeachGal23 I got an amazing deal on EBay for my city select, or if you can hold out, BBB always runs manufacturer promotions on Baby Jogger (20-40% off). They just had one so I'm not sure when the next one will be. Another option is searching through one of your local swip swap Facebook pages.
Babies R Us has Carter's clothing at 40% off and Halo sleep sacks at 15% off!!! Man! I bought two Carter's sleepers at Target the other day for full price!!

but how serendipitous is this... I happened to be returning a duplicate gift today at a local fancy baby boutique, and I asked the salesperson if their baby joggers ever go on sale... Turns out they are currently 30% off because the store is no longer carrying the brand! Only 2 of the city mini GT doubles left, so I snatched one up. 30% off plus my store credit from the return would yield the best price I could find anywhere for a new one. So happy I stumbled upon the deal today!

@AliKay20 never buy carters full price!! They always have deals going on in their stores and online, and if you get their emails they always send 20% off coupons. I've consistently found that it's cheaper to buy there clothes directly from them.

@midwestbaby I let DH pick some sleepers as he likes soft fleece kinds over towel like ones. Ha! Baby grows fast and this is the time to stock up! Hope that argument somewhat works.
@AliKay20 Thanks for the tip on Carter's! I went to the Carter's outlet today and bought two little outfits and a pair of moccasins for Baby to wear to the two October weddings that we have to attend!
But oh my goodness that store is scary. I've never been in one before. I go back to work in October and I foresee much of my paycheck going there for adorable baby items. Perhaps I should just have them take a monthly draft...
The second we walked in my husband looked at my big eyes and said, "Shit. We have to get out of here, now."
@alikay20@entropicallyfavored we have a carters outlet right near my work - in the same plaza as the only starbucks. I can't tell you how many times I went to go to starbucks and accidentally ended up at carters.
