Pregnant after a Loss

Timidly saying hi

Hi ladies -

I am active on the TTTC and TTCAL boards and I am timidly saying hi because I got my BFP this morning but with my history of MMC I'm reluctant to get too excited until I have some indication things might be going well. Both of my previous losses were discovered at my first ultrasound appointments so I called this morning to have some blood work done to give me a little piece of mind until I am far along enough to see something on ultrasound.

A quick history - DH and I have been married 7 years and we started ttc#1 in September 2014. I had a D&C at 8 weeks for a blighted ovum in January 2015 and a D&C at 10 weeks in July 2015. Testing after the second loss revealed I have PCOS and a small uterine septum that I had repaired in December 2015. I really hope this will be our take home baby and I'll get to stick around here.

I am having blood drawn today and Tuesday at 4.

Thanks for reading!

I actually just got off the phone with the nurse. My Progesterone is at 17.6 and hcg at 19. I know it's still really early and it really only matters that the number doubles but that's just so low of an hcg that it's kind of freaking me out a bit. I was expecting it to be higher because the cut off for the test I used was 25. It's going to be a long wait for that second beta.

Fingers are crossed for you!  Why the long wait for the repeat (why not in 48 hours?)

@penelope4612 thank you - it is in 48 hours I just meant 48 hours seems like forever.

@ceclarlinetlo - oh, ok!  I thought they were making you wait a week!  Waiting for betas is the worst!  Let us know how it goes!

    Hello @ceclarlinetlo and everyone here!

I am also coming from the TTCAL board, hopeful and scared after 2 positive pregnancy tests. I am on CD33 and 14DPO.

I am getting my blood test next Wednesday, I wish to get my ultrasound later on though. At least until I am 7 or 8 weeks if they let me. Early US were never good for me before, so I'd rather avoid them until I know for sure that there should be a heartbeat.

I wish things continue to go great with you @ceclarlinetlo !!

    hugs
