Good that I only have 3 days left to work as
anything I have to wear that is somewhat professional is barely fitting now. Can’t
wait for yoga pants and tees next week!
5)
Since I am being induced, and I can plan for it,
DH and I will be going to the diner before heading to the hospital. Is it sad that
I already know what I want? Strawberry pancakes, eggs over easy (I have avoided
them my whole pregnancy), and soft bacon. YUMMMMMMM…..

I am kinda bored at work. The other manager that
is taking over all of my emails so my workload is pretty dead. Here I have been
complaining that it’s been too much, and now I want more. I am also REALLY bad
at letting go of control and finding it hard to have someone else do my work.

Baby girl has been stuck in my hip since
yesterday and it hurts so badly!

Really happy that Von Miller was booted from

9)
Still surprised by the amount of babies our BMB
has had so far. Its only 5/3 and I feel like half of the board has given birth
already.

Did I mention I am having a BABY next week…
OMGEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
I'm totally jealous that you get to eat before you are induced. My induction is on Thursday at 5:30AM and I'm not allowed to eat or drink anything after midnight. Like WTF is that about?! I'm going to die of starvation.
1. I'm really sorry that I've complained to you guys about false labor for over a week now. 2. I'm probably not going to be able to stop though. Although I am considering taking a bump hiatus until this kid is born. 3. Yesterday we took a 2.5 mile walk up and down some hills. I was exhausted by the effort...big difference from 8 weeks ago when I was still happily banging out an hour of cardio. 4. The next person to ask me if I think I'm going into labor soon is getting throat punched. Unless it's my mom, then she just gets dagger eyes. 5. My next appt is Thursday. I know I was 80% effaced, station -2 and 1cm last week. Unless you can regress. You can't, right?!? Please tell me it's a 1 way street. Anyway if my dr offers induction idk what to do. Is it ok if I'm 40+4? Should I still let nature take its course? 6. WTF seriously I just got an email from carmax titled "is it that time??" I mean, I'm sure it was referring to buying a new car and not labor, but still. 7. I just want to hold my baby and be done.
Dh and I took a 2 mile walk on Sunday. It took almost an hour...this was me...

WHY?? My doctor stressed to me to eat, and eat as much as possible, since induction can take longer than normal labor. I would ask them about this if I was you.

Yeah I plan on calling them about it. I will be a totally B if I can't eat. There's just no way.
2. My husband started his second job last week. Its purely income for renovations so idk if I'm really a fan.
3. Anyone else waking up in the middle of the night unable to go to sleep for at least an hour? I want my sleep back.
4. On the same note, I almost completely planned my best friend's bachelorette party at 3am this morning.
5. It's been a rough nap time today which is making my last day look even better.
6. I'm going to miss most of my kids though.
7. I finished shopping for everything we need for baby yesterday! Now to just put everything away.
8. I never thought I'd say this, but I miss working out. I've been on restricted physical activity for 8 weeks now and all I want to do is take a nice long run or zumba class! Who have I turned into?
9. I plan on making chocolate cupcakes with chocolate butter creme and milk chocolate dipped strawberries on top to bring to my last day of work. Part of me wants to make a second flavor but I can't decide between vanilla cupcakes with coffee butter creme or vanilla cupcakes with raspberry butter creme. Thoughts?
2. My H just decided that he's no longer going to dry-clean his work (button down) shirts anymore in an attempt to save some cash. I caught him last night watching a YouTube vid about how to wash, dry and iron said shirts, hah! I hope he learned a lot because I will not be adding that to my to-do list with a newborn on the way.
After it took me 30minutes to iron 2 of DH's shirts....well let's just say those no-iron shirts do the trick for our relationship
2. My mom is coming to visit until Friday! 3. That means that with my c-section on Monday, I will have "help" with the twins each day until LO arrives! 4. The thread about sick toddlers...that is us today G just has a running nose but A spiked a fever last night and always gets hit harder. 5. I hope my mom and I don't get it. 6. The twins have a track record for sharing their colds - both sides of the family caught their cold over Christmas. 7. Because A was so sick last night, I cancelled our appt to visit their 2yr old preschool today I was looking forward to it. I can't wait to see them there! 8. 36.3weeks and still pregnant!! 9. Congrats to all of those beautiful new babies and families! Your birth stories are so inspiring. Don't forget to copy and save your birth story if you wrote it out on TB! 10. Other than some freezer meals, my to-do list is nearly done. The last (and maybe hardest) thing on the list was Mothers and MIL Day gifts. I made granola bars that turned out delicious, but fall apart = granola! haha
Mama to Three Girls: Twins born March 2014 at 26 weeks due to preterm labor and our 37weeker born May 9th, 2016!

Same policy at my hospital. The reasoning that was explained to me is that if you need a c-section, they don't want you vomiting in the OR. but this happens to a lot of women anyway, so what's the dif??
I think the policy sucks and I was SO hangry by the time DD made her entrance. I kept asking the nurse, "how am I supposed to push with out any fuel in my system?"

So dumb! You can go into labor at any time and need a c/s. To limit your FUEL to labor because you have an induction on the calendar. DUMB.

You're telling me. As soon as my water breaks, I'm heading straight to the fridge...ftw! I'm not making that mistake twice.
Eta: I've mentioned this before, but I was also not allowed any water/drinks of any kind. The ice machine was broken when I was in the hospital, so no ice chips for me either. I was bargaining with my H to let me have sips of my coconut water. It was torture basically.

So dumb! You can go into labor at any time and need a c/s. To limit your FUEL to labor because you have an induction on the calendar. DUMB.
I think the reasoning is because of the tiny, tiny chance that the food might be aspirated if you need emergency anesthesia. It seems like it varies by practitioner on whether they want to exercise that caution or not. The old rule of thumb used to be clear-liquids, including popsicles and jello.
Yeah, it's because of the risk of aspiration, which is mooostly outdated at this point (most C-sections aren't under general anesthesia, even in emergencies, and even then, general anesthesia is a lot better and safer than it was when the original prohibitions against food were put into place), but as with a lot of things, there seem to still be some practices that take the view "who cares if you're uncomfortable, I'm not getting sued for malpractice."
Sometimes they'll still let you have clear liquids though, like @js8812said, so it might be worth packing a Gatorade or whatever other alternative you like, just in case. Even if they won't let you have it during labor, at least you can have it right afterwards.
3. Anyone else waking up in the middle of the night unable to go to sleep for at least an hour? I want my sleep back.
Me! I wake up several times during the night and can't get back to sleep, so I nest. I need to get out of this routine, but at least I'm accomplishing something instead of just staring at the wall, right?!
3. Anyone else waking up in the middle of the night unable to go to sleep for at least an hour? I want my sleep back.
My husband wakes up in the middle of the night for work (like 3-4 am) and I usually wake up with him, then struggle to fall back asleep for an hour or more. And I totally don't do anything during that time except toss and turn Baking is totally relaxing! I'd go for the raspberry butter cream.
1. I feel pretty dorky. As a FTM i for some reason thought my baby would come at 37-38 weeks. I'm now 39+2 and even though my mucus plug fell out and I'm having some random contractions there's no real sign that labor is coming. I'm due in 6 days and at this point I'm just hoping my baby isn't planning on going to 43 weeks.
2. I love my DH. He took 2 days off (sort of hoping I'd go into labor) but instead of playing video games and goofing off like I expected, he'd eat breakfast and then say "okay sweetie, what do we need to get done today?". It's been so nice, especially since there's few things more frustrating than nesting and also being too tired/too pregnant to do stuff.
3. Why are people so against tDap? I even understand anti vaxxers being against it (I mean, you're wrong, but you've got reasons). We told DH's parents today that they needed to get the vaccine or check their status and they were offended because my SIL didn't ask them to do that when my nephew was born (two and a half years ago) and why do they have to do it now. My family was totally on board, even my brother who had a terrible reaction when he got pertussis vaccine when he was a baby. It's literally a shot, maybe a copay, to keep your new baby safe. Especially in our town, which has some of the highest unvaccinated children rates in Oregon and we're having a baby at the beginning of summer (aka- when everyone in Oregon finally comes out!).
4. Anyone else's appetite actually increase? I feel like I can't get full lately! The day before my mucus plug fell out I had like four dinners! I'm chowing down on all the carbs! My mom says it's my body attempting to make stores for the marathon I'm about to run.
5. I feel betrayed by Old Wives Tales. I ate the dates, I drank the tea, I bounced on the ball. I ate an entire pineapple. No baby. I always sort of trusted old wives tales because I think they usually come with lots of history and knowledge from the past but now I'm wondering if those things aren't ancient stories. Now that I think of it, ancient women probably just move on with their day until their baby shows up. I guess Amish women will start baking bread because it requires movement and action and they know they won't be able to for the next few days.
6. I know this is so dumb, but I'm very into straightening my hair. It's really thick and takes a long time to dry, and with a blow dryer it usually just melts the oil on my hair. Every night that I wash my hair I think "oh gosh, what if he comes now and I won't be able to straighten my hair before the baby comes!?" Such a lame thought, especially since it's not like I have anyone scheduled to take photos for us or anything.
That's all I can think of. Thanks for reading my random thoughts
I love my sweet little Lucine more than i thought was possible!
My nipples feel like they have been sliced with razors!
I have never known Exhaustion like this before!
So in the hospital it was great having nurses and helpers...being home has been rough. Day one was great, day two not so much. 3 hours sleep. One boob isn't making as much milk as the other. I'm constantly eating meals with a baby on my boob as i eat because she is sooooo hungry all the time and so am I. As well as the #5 incident . . .
Lucine wanted to nurse for about 8 hours yesterday on and off and she wasn't dirtying her diapers so I was worried. They said it's normal for newborns bowels to be slow while they get working correctly and they can end up with issues like this. They didn't say anything about not feeding her during this strange "Feed me forever!!"attitude she is giving me. They just kept saying that if baby wants food to give it. . . Well had a very upset tummy it seems. she had a MASSIVE blow out in the end and then she was fine.I didnt know poop could do the things it did . . . It was on her back, tummy and even in her armpits! How did it get there?!?! How did this tiny, adorable, ray of sunshine manage to poop so hard that it flew out of her diapers and all the way into her armpits!?
Today was betterand I had a visit from the midwife. Next visit is Friday. She gave me some really great tips for breastfeeding with massive breasts. It has already helped.
I can't wait to get out walking with this cutie pie but my C-section wound hurts as well as my left hip.
Oh! speaking of the C-section, I got my tape and stuff off today and it is healing nicely. . . I just wish I didn't get this hot poker feeling on the left side of it. I forgot to mention it to my Midwife . . . need to remember it for next time.
I normally go through and correct issues like caps and spelling but no time today!! Lucy just woke up!
2. I can't believe how much I love this tiny person that I just met.
3. She is currently cluster feeding, apparently that's her jam.
4. Sleeping when she sleeps is a lot harder than it sounds.
5. First pediatrician appt tomorrow which means first family walk! Excited to take her on her first walk through our neighborhood.
6. I would be a mess if my mom wasn't around to help this week. She's been grocery shopping for us, done laundry, prepared all of our meals and made snacks to have any time, and watched Holly between feedings during the day so we can nap. I'm so glad I took her up on her offer to help - if someone in your life offers to help you, say yes!!!
7. I'm hoping to have a shower tonight, just need a break from BF long enough..
Thoughts?
10. I find cooking and baking relaxing.
YUM! I find cooking and baking relaxing too, more so baking. I LOVE to bake and just make things in general. Sunday night I made strawberry banana ice cream. The night before last I made s'mores truffles. They are so good! For my mom's birthday a couple of weeks ago I made chocolate cupcakes with Nutella frosting. I ended up freezing three so I can have one every so often while I'm home with baby!

has had so far.

WHY?? My doctor stressed to me to eat, and eat as much as possible, since induction can take longer than normal labor. I would ask them about this if I was you.
Yeah, f*ck that. I ate before my induction last time and thank god because my hospital still has the stupid outdated no eating or drinking during labor BS rule and it was 29 hours between my induction and the ultimate c-section and probably 3-4 more hours before I had any food. I honestly think it would have made a big difference in my laboring if I had eaten or had something beside stupid Popsicles.
I'm packing light snacks for myself and gatorade this time even if I have to sneak that sh*t into the bathroom.

After it took me 30minutes to iron 2 of DH's shirts....well let's just say those no-iron shirts do the trick for our relationship
2. My mom is coming to visit until Friday!
3. That means that with my c-section on Monday, I will have "help" with the twins each day until LO arrives!
4. The thread about sick toddlers...that is us today
5. I hope my mom and I don't get it.
6. The twins have a track record for sharing their colds - both sides of the family caught their cold over Christmas.
7. Because A was so sick last night, I cancelled our appt to visit their 2yr old preschool today
8. 36.3weeks and still pregnant!!
I made granola bars that turned out delicious, but fall apart = granola! haha

I think the policy sucks and I was SO hangry by the time DD made her entrance. I kept asking the nurse, "how am I supposed to push with out any fuel in my system?"

Eta: I've mentioned this before, but I was also not allowed any water/drinks of any kind. The ice machine was broken when I was in the hospital, so no ice chips for me either. I was bargaining with my H to let me have sips of my coconut water. It was torture basically.
Sometimes they'll still let you have clear liquids though, like @js8812 said, so it might be worth packing a Gatorade or whatever other alternative you like, just in case. Even if they won't let you have it during labor, at least you can have it right afterwards.
Baking is totally relaxing! I'd go for the raspberry butter cream.

Twins born March 2014 at 26 weeks due to preterm labor
and our 37weeker born May 9th, 2016!
- I love my sweet little Lucine more than i thought was possible!
- My nipples feel like they have been sliced with razors!
- I have never known Exhaustion like this before!
- So in the hospital it was great having nurses and helpers...being home has been rough. Day one was great, day two not so much. 3 hours sleep. One boob isn't making as much milk as the other. I'm constantly eating meals with a baby on my boob as i eat because she is sooooo hungry all the time and so am I. As well as the #5 incident . . .
- Lucine wanted to nurse for about 8 hours yesterday on and off and she wasn't dirtying her diapers so I was worried.
- Today was better and I had a visit from the midwife. Next visit is Friday. She gave me some really great tips for breastfeeding with massive breasts. It has already helped.
- I can't wait to get out walking with this cutie pie but my C-section wound hurts as well as my left hip.
- Oh! speaking of the C-section, I got my tape and stuff off today and it is healing nicely. . . I just wish I didn't get this hot poker feeling on the left side of it. I forgot to mention it to my Midwife . . . need to remember it for next time.
I normally go through and correct issues like caps and spelling but no time today!! Lucy just woke up!2.
8. My feet and ankles are crazy swollen.
