Any truth in early positive tests and having multiples?
I only ask because I got a clear BFP at 3w1d. I was 8dpo. It through me off a bit since I have never gotten a positive test before 12-13 dpo. I hope this means a healthy baby really got a good chance of survival.
Not necessarily, you may have just implanted sooner than before. There is not set dpo when implantation has to happen. Or you may have ovulated earlier than you thought.

I tested positive at 8dpo as well, and was sure my #'s were off, but U/S confirmed my O date was spot on. I only have 1 in there, and I asked them to make sure at my last U/S.

*PCOS/Hypothyroid/Ectopic Kidney/High DHEA-S* HSG - All clear, ectopic kidney didn't affect uterus (yay!) CT Adrenal Scan - no tumors! SA - sperm count excellent, 2% Morphology March/April IUI scheduled - surprise BFP w/ help of Progesterone - 3/18/2016 Beta #1 @ 11dpo - 45.7 #2 @ 14dpo - 163 #3 @ 18dpo - 997 #4 @ 21dpo - 3799 EDD 12/1 based on O, 11/28 per Ob/Gyn (but he's wrong lol).
**Lurking from Oct. 16** I got a BFP at 3+1/8 dpo as well and there is defintely only one peanut in there! Not to say that you can't possibly be having multiples but I've never heard of a correlation between multiples and early BFPs. You probably just implanted early.

I'm chiming in late but when I conceived twins, I didn't get a positive until around 18 or 19DPO. I had *no* idea I was pregnant with twins until they were confirmed on U/S at 7w2d. HCG varies pretty wildly from pregnancy to pregnancy and doesn't necessarily mean anything

I received a positive with my child the night of 7DPO (confirmed O with temping) and he ended up just being a singleton
I don't think 8 DPO is that uncommon
