I'll be at a conference M-F this week. I'm hoping so much that I can find something to eat. The nausea and aversions make me like a spoiled brat. There is literally one thing that is okay to eat at any given time and first I have to figure out what it is and then I have to find it. Everything else makes me ralph.

Also, MIL will be helping DH with DS. I just hope she can reign it in for the week and not go try to show DS off to every and any person she can find and corner.

I cannot taste or smell anything today and it's driving me bonkers.  I tried to whip my taste buds back into shape with some hot sauce and peppers for lunch.  Nada.  Nothing.  This sucks.

My MIL is driving me nuts. She worships her other sets of grandkids even though their parents are crazy and don't allow any real relationship with her. They don't visit or allow her to visit them. When she does try to visit them (Flys across the dang country), they usually will meet at a fast food place. No invite to their homes, not even a sit down restaurant! But we make an effort, visit once a year (flying across the country) and allow her to visit and stay with us (I don't get along too well with her so it's painful), and she acts like we are scum. No interest in DD, no trying to interact with her, nothing. She doesn't "light up" when she talks about my kid like she does when talk8ng about the forbidden kids. I don't get it. Call me jealous but it hurts. I don't know why we try so hard; she obviously doesn't appreciate it.

DH came down with a stomach virus Wed and is Just getting over it today..... waaaaay too long to have a sick man on my hands. 2yo DS has been sick since yesterday and last night his fever reached 104 - I've had a whopping 2.5 hrs sleep.... fingers crossed for rest for all tonight!

@sourlemon - yikes! Why do they refuse to have her over? She sounds like a peice of work!

@jennbaylor12 - I'm gonna go ahead and count my blessings. I can't imagine trying to survive that situation right now. DS woke himself up with his baby farts and I was like sheesh. Not so bad as it turns out!

I'm so over all the Beachbody coaches taking over on FB. I'm all for people getting fit, but now they also seem to be religious converts too? Every post is talking about their quiet time with Jesus for personal reflection, then they drink their Energize, and exercise away. I've got about 10 different friends that do this..and all of their posts are exactly the same.

All the other sets of parents have decided she's a terrible person and not fit to be around any kids, let alone their precious kids. They think the same about DH and I. We haven't seen the oldest kid since she turned 1 and she's now 6. We have never been allowed to meet the others that are 3 and 2. Our DD has never met her cousins although we live an hour away. Those parents are a piece of work too. My MIL isn't a bad person, she just is different. Talks to her grown children in baby voice, wants to hold hands with them in public  (I put a stop to that with DH the first time I saw it), and treats everyone like their decisions are wrong if they don't agree with her. But overall she's not a bad person. But treating my DD different is really annoying and I don't know how to address it. DH asked DD this morning to play with grandma and MIL didn't put her phone down at all. It's sad.

SIL and my 2 future BILs drove back into town today from the wedding. Since we live 45 min north of where they live, they stopped off here to stretch and get some food. Of course I am working and they decide to go to Cici's. I begged DH to get me some Alfredo pizza and some of their sticky buns, but he is being an a$$ right now.

ETA: DH got me 3 sticky buns, but no alfredo pizza. He will live...for now.

I took a glorious hour-long nap, and when I woke up DH told me my skin is absolutely glowing. I've been struggling with body image lately with the bloat and that made me smile.

I just ate pizza and garlic bread drowned in garlic butter. I can feel my digestive system objecting already, but this is the closest I've come to not-nausea in 3 days. Worth it.

I have strep throat!! Ahhhh! The doctor told me to take a couple days off work and i just laughed because my class (ASD kindergarten) is going on a field trip tomorrow and another one on wednesday. Sending a sub is not an option!

On a pathetic note, DD was sitting on my lap, shredding tissue paper, and she decided it was important to stuff my bra with the paper. Even my kid things my post-weaning boobs are pathetic. Whomp whomp

@phoenix870509 DH would be sleeping on the couch or preferably outside in the yard if he didn't bring home Alfredo pizza from Cicis. I am enraged for you.

@1982BabiesI'm jealous! I LOVE spicy food but since getting KU even medium salsa tastes like straight up habaneros to me. I can't handle anything spicy anymore and I used to put sriracha on EVERYTHING.

Maybe this belongs in the fast food thread but can I just say: I am SO SAD that Chick Fil A no longer sells their Asian Chicken Salad!!! That was my favorite, and now it's no more.  :'(

I really can't stand people who post long tales of how difficult their life is on Facebook just so people will tell them how great they are.  Get a therapist and learn to cope with life in a more adult way, please.

Amen @penelope4612. They are just as bad as the people that are all, "my life is awful, everything sucks, woe is me," and then when someone asks them what's wrong, they're like "YOU DONT KNOW MY LYFE"

Whenever the 'woe is me' people post on Facebook, I recently started to play a fun game where I comment "you're really sensitive" and see if I get immediately blocked.

I'm taking a break from Facebook (one month so far) because of some ridiculous drama that made me want to disown my brother and his wife. I miss seeing eveyone's posts but I have to say it's kind of freeing not seeing my sil's five million selfies a day.... "Look, there's a sale at the grocery store (insert selfie here)"

I'm at a work conference this week with my boss and coworker. Let's just say they're a drinking crowd.... So I keep walking around with an always full corona or asking for a Coke with lime in a short glass. Funnnn. There have been a couple of times I've passed and just had water but he would know something is up if I ordered water the whole time.

I completely gave up Facebook a year and a half ago, and it was the best decision I've ever made as far as social media goes. I fell into the trap of comparisons, and it made me feel awful. Plus, some of my in laws were harassing me, and endless political fights were too much.

Anyway, Eddie Murphy's version of The Nutty Professor is on Netflix. My night is made. Anything Eddie Murphy is amazeballs to me.

@dmontgo I totally hear you...this past month has really been so peaceful and I've had so much less stress too. It's just alittle sad that one person can be the catalyst for deactivating your account and saying that it's not worth it. But if the trade off is my sanity, then I'll gladly do it lol.

@mimi603107 I look at it this way--we are the ones who won, not them. We're the ones that are saying, "You know what? My time and peace of mind are way more valuable then this person's bullshit and toxicity." And the friends that truly matter to me kept in touch, and now I wonder how I ever had 100+ friends on that crap in the first place. Most of them didn't care, they were just nosy! So it's not sad it just took one person ---we don't owe anyone our time to put up with their bullshit. You go girl.

Late to the FB discussion but the negativity drives me NUTS!!!! I actually don't have that many people who do it on my FB (I think I just started deleting them lol) Also an irritating thing; I have a friend that downloaded snapchat (I use it for like 4-5 to keep in touch) and she sends me 30+ snaps a day with all the filters and with her daughters...k one here and there, cool, but I don't need to stare at your conversationless selfies for that long.

I've blocked seeing most of the super annoying people on FB...so I have like 15 people total in my feed. I have another category of FB person that I super love though --- the inspirational idiot. I have a family member who is always making up pseudo-inspirational quotes that actually mean nothing at all, and he thinks they are very deep. He'll follow the quote with #writethatdown . I get a kick out of it every time.

^^^This, unfollowing is a good alternative to blocking/unfriending ppl. Sometimes I am in a mood and probably would have unfriended people, but thankfully the unfollow exists...fb can be a drag sometimes...

FB is a funny thing.  I'm in my (mid) 30's and most of my friends are married with kids now.  Quite a few have confided in me that their marriages are falling apart, infidelity, job loss etc but when I see them on Facebook they've got the best life in the world!  I'm all for keeping personal stuff personal, but nobody has a gun to your head making you post shit that your closest friends/family know isn't real.  

My my favorite way to think of it is something I read a while back - Facebook leaves you to compare your daily mundane, stressful life to other people's highlight reel.  Word.

@queenklau I got the Sonoline B pocket doppler.  It didn't arrive yesterday but should be here this week.  I asked my OB about it, and he said that it was totally safe and that it was a good brand.  It might be a little early yet to find the heartbeat but I'll try as soon as it gets here!  I'm in Canada and it cost $95 including shipping and tax.  Good luck convincing DH to buy one

I watched all of the Tiny House Hunters episodes on Netflix last night by myself. 
This feels more like a confession, but i dont care. So there.

Also, agree with the facebook strikes! My H and I gave it up for a while  and it was glorious.  I'm just a crazy BST addict, though....I couldn't stay away forever.
