6 Month Photos

Hi all 
I have a question about photos. 
As you all know, having twins is expensive, so we got our maternity photos taken at JC Penney. 
They turned out good for the price, but I was wondering if it would be better to have a professional take them and how to find a good photographer. 
We're on a tight budget, so would it be better to stick with JC Penney?

When we looked for our maternity photographer, I stalked Facebook friends and their professional photos. The ones I liked, I'd check out and see who the photographer was and how expensive they were.  We ended up finding one for $100 a session, no matter how long it took and we got the rights to the photos. The woman just loves photography and does it on the side.

I'd also suggest looking up local photographers in your area on Facebook. I pay $250 a session which includes all digital rights and the session. This is actually the cheapest package I've found for a professional and she's been doing it for about 10 years. Most are around $500 or make you buy a lot of unnecessary prints, so definitely shop around!

Wow, those are good prices! I'd better start looking on Facebook! Never thought of that
JC Penney turned out ok, but they didn't take many photos and I looked stupid in most of them, so it was hard to choose  lol

We actually went to Jcpenney! Our photographers around here are outrageous. The cheapest one I found was a $275 sitting fee, but you had to buy so many prints from them in order to get the rights to the images. It ended up being a minimum of $1000. So it completely depends on who's in your area.

I've been browsing Facebook, but haven't seen prices and haven't taken the time to message anyone yet... I better do that soon because we might end up just going to JC Penney again  lol
