Contractions all day...

Been contracting all day with intensity increasing in the evening to the point of getting under 8 mins and 3 mins on the way to he hospital...then frequency became sporadic again going to every ten, made me walk for 2 solids hours and it still didn't make my cervix dilated since I'd arrived. Now sent home

Just a member venting. It's getting closer and closer and every ache and pain is taken as a sign. It sucks they sent you home. Baby will come when baby is ready ^-^

Maybe its just me but its odd that someone who has NEVER participated in the community comes out of the wood work with a DD post this late in the same.. Kinda like the randoms that never posted but not posting birth announcements.

@yogahh don't know. I don't pay attention to all names. Some I'm more familiar with than others. Maybe some don't feel comfortable or don't know what to post - you know? Maybe this experience rattled her enough to just type it out this time. We will never know. But hopefully all is going good for all.

I agree with @Dasha420.  I read the community posts all the time but I don't post very often. But certainly hope I would get a little support after posting about contracting all day and the frustration of being sent home.  @rachaelross80, hang in there!  I hope next time you go to the hospital, you get to stay until the baby arrives!

I went in around 37-38 weeks with both of my first 2 after contracting all day. False labor both times, didn't deliver until 40.0 & 40.2. This time I've had a couple days of contractions, but until I'm curled up in the floor I'm not going in. Too expensive to go in for "uncomfortable," I need to be sure.

I'm glad you said that! Every time I get a few contractions in my mom tells me to call the midwives. My new policy is not to call until water breaks or I can't talk.

Same with my mom @JoMunson. I've been having contractions 10 minutes apart for the last two nights, but since my plan was always to labor down at home, I'm just gonna wait it out. I'm also being super pessimistic that I'm going to due date. I've decided it's easier to accept that and be surprised later if not.
