Pain/weird feeling during sex

I'm 36 +4 and my husband and I haven't had sex much since I started the 3rd trimester. But we have had sex these past 2 days. Both times it felt like he was touching something and it kind of hurt, more so today when I was on my back (to the point where I couldn't take it). I know he can't touch the baby, but is is my cervix or something that he is touching? And why was it so painful? Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue!

If it felt like one spot that got hit sometimes, it was likely your cervix. It happens to DH and I sometimes pregnant or not pregnant and it always hurts for a second, then is fine. Just try some positions with more shallow penetration.

I agree- it's happened to me too, even when not pregnant. Certain times of the month I guess it lies lower or it's just more sensitive. We were actually having sex on Friday and I started spotting a little- which freaked me out of course. My doctor said it was most likely due to my cervix thinning out and being extra sensitive. I wouldn't worry unless your doctor has told you to abstain from any activity.

Sex has become foreign territory! If I'm not propped up in the EXACT way it's a no go. It's almost comical how accommodating the husband is. He's just so thrilled I'm still up for it. 
Just take it slow and find what works and if it's absolutely not working, tell him change of plans! Get off!
