@mrsdee15 @DoctorDonna @aammyy33I just really can't understand being so full of hate towards people that you don't even know. It's just not how I would react at all. I guess I'm just amazed at how selfish people can be.

My curiosity got the best of me and I just lurked over there...wow.   working in the field I do...the selfishness doesn't surprise me.  I wish it did.   She's heartless.

  • I'm going to have to go lurk hard but...

Slow day at work got me like, lets google symptoms about butterflies in abdomen. Because I gots butterflies. Obviously this means something.
  • My DH, my mom, and I had a good laugh about the "does this mean I'm pregnant" too last month (in separate conversations). I was keeping it to myself at first as it was my first official TWW and I didn't want to seem BSC. But then DH caught me chuckling in the kitchen one night after making a glass of ice water and asked what happened. I told him I had finally gone off the deep end because wanting a glass of ice water when I typically only drink room temperature obviously meant I was totally pregnant. He guffawed and I was glad he didn't just give the "uh oh she's crazy" face. Then I was driving with my mom and told her about it and joked how "my fingers are itchy, I must be pregnant!" It helped make light of a confusing and anxious time emotionally.

  • Alright @mrsdaddario! Lol. I love gif stories! @DoctorDonna I was trying to explain to DH when he came to my job's holiday party that teachers party the hardest. He wasn't buying it. And that also just made me miss one of my favorite bars in DC that served Jell-O shots and would flash a light randomly when Jell-O shots would only be $1!

  • @meilay - we just did Flaming Dr. Pepper shots and two of us decided to do cartwheels in the front yard of our colleague's new house. I'm finishing up my hard apple cider and will probably do another Flaming shot. It's getting a little crazy here, and I couldn't be prouder. Lol! We've got Prince blaring. Best. Night. Ever.
  • So, I'm a little confused.  Are BFPs not being announced in TWW anymore?  Have they just been moved to the weekly grad thread?  I avoid TWW during the first week of WTO because I'm so pissy about being in WTO again, so I couldn't really figure out what the new protocol is.

Also, @mrsdaddario, re: your gif story:

and it helps them stand out so that when someone is up for seeing some BFPs, they can find them all easily and they're not burried in many days worth of TWW threads :)

  • @Rottiemom86 @Buthayna right, I know that there is a grad thread. That's why I asked if BFPs had been moved to the grad thread. What I'm asking is if people are not supposed to announce BFPs in TWW anymore.

  • @MonaLisaRalphio That seems to be what has happened. I'm not sure if there was an official announcement and I don't think there is an instruction on the TWW each day saying that, but I think it's becoming the norm since it seems the ladies who have had the recent BFPs saw the UO thread (I think?) where it was suggested /reasons for moving BFPs to their own thread and it has morphed into what it is now.

Someone else might have better info (more "factual", and less "I think this is what happened") than me though!

Yep, you're on the nose.  People in WTO or benched would miss BFPs, and BFPs would essentially hijack the TWW thread with the announcement and subsequent congrats which sucked for people having a rough go of it.

UO thread two weeks ago we seemed to come to a general consensus on what would plausibly work for the Graduation thread, where BFPs should now be announced.  There wasn't a legit announcement and nobody will get flamed if they announce in TWW (although somebody may point them to the graduation thread).

I'm probably going to do a survey & discussion this week for additional feedback (since this is kind of my thing now I guess?), since it seemed like there was some feedback in this weeks UO thread but I had to bump and dash the past few days.

Also to clarify, there is now the Weekly Graduation thread (where BFPs are announced & congratulated) as well as the Monthly Graduate thread (where graduates come back to talk about how their pregnancies are coming along).

  • Took a mini road trip yesterday with SO, successful shopping and food day :) We got a few things for the house at IKEA and West Elm. I got a new purse. We ate some yummy BBQ. Now, listening to Beyonce's new album all day today.
  • I JUST started reading TCOYF and I can't believe I waited this long to start.  It's a game changer!  The information is great, but I love how the author preaches about Fertility Awareness being natural and safe.  I love the holistic approach and the message this gives about forgoing BC pills and such.  It's awesome!   Even if I wasn't TTC, I would read this because it gives so much great information about the female reproductive system.
  • I had to go lurk the first tri board after seeing everyone's comments. That was boarder line epic. I'm just sad they closed it. I have been saving this for someone and I feel like that crazy bitch earned it

  • Random question for the weekend... The past two days I've woken up around 3am, unintentionally, and then went back to bed until my temp alarm (5:45am due to my work week) went off. Yesterday, I just didn't think at that time so didn't take my temp. Then Today, I took it at 3am and again at 5:45am. Yesterday's 5:45 temp was 97.0. Today's 3am temp was 97.2 and 5:45 temp was 96.3. What do I believe temp-wise?

  • This is more of a FFFC, but I've gotten to the point in TTC where I will take an OPK, see the positive, throw it away, then open our little bathroom trash can and fish out the OPK to make sure it was actually positive.

Just read the first tri thread. Wow.  That was nuts.. Good job @Lecool. Thanks for sticking up for us!

I kinda snapped at the MIL today.. When she asked for the 60th time If I'm pregnant. This time bc I am tired and have a headache! I'm so sick of it and having to say no and act like we aren't even trying kills me so I was just like please if I hear you ask me that one more time I'm gonna lose it and got up and walked away... I know this made her feel bad and I regret it.
If my MIL asked me everytime I had a headache if I was pregnant I would be in jail by now.   I get migraines a lot so it would be at least once a week I would that question.  I have a migraine now and it stinks.

Watching Sex Sent Me to the ER (don't judge me; who am I kidding, no one's judging me for that who knows how often I get down) and I'm so confused by people who go to the hospital to get help and then lie to the doctor! Ok you're embarrassed, ok you don't want to tell the doctor why there's a vacuum stuck on your wang or you were rolling around in some mud like a little nasty but for real, how do you expect them to help you? Half the vignette is them just trying to get the truth so they can actually do something about it! This is likely more appropriate for WTF Wednesday but I don't want to wait until then and this is still random so here we are.

Apparently one of my friends from high school was on an episode, but for nothing quite as dumb. Her episode was called "Close But No Cigar" and was all about how she had some problem where she couldn't stop being aroused. After seeing that episode, I tried to watch some of the others and just... couldn't.

They were so dumb and awful. "I got impaled on my boyfriend's dick in the shower and blood is coming out of my vagina but like, maybe that's norma with shower sex? lol???" Or the guy who fell out of a window... naked... while cheating on his wife... and then they call his wife and he tries to make up the excuse that he was cleaning the bedroom. Naked. Right. Got it.

@canavara I actually clean the bathroom naked (maaaybe underoos if I was already dressed) because I hate the idea of bleach or bathroom gunk getting on my clothes. I stay away from windows though bahaha.

  • TheJerilu - haha okay that seems legit, getting bleach on your clothes is the most annoying thing. I can't remember what kind of cleaning this guy was doing but I think it just something like wiping down windows.
