Is it just me, or was this the longest week ever??? But it is almost the weekend!! As we all are dwindling down on child-free weekends, what are your plans for this weekend?
Mine is to sleep. Take a few walks. Brunch with a friend. Wash down door and window frames. Big time fun around here

Re: Its the weekend!!!
yay for the weekend!!!!!! I agree, this week has been extra long (I kept thinking yesterday was Friday and was sad every time I figured out it was Thursday). DH is helping a friend build a deck. I'm super pumped to take my car to the dealer for an oil change because I'm going to sit in their fancy waiting room, read a book, drink their beverages, and eat all their cookies
Then I will go to culvers for lunch and get ice cream!!!!! Unfortunately there is also a lot of cleaning to be done.
Realistically the only things on my list I think I'll get done are the shopping... but we'll see I guess.
My biggest client is having a big anniversary banquet on Saturday night, so we'll be attending that. I need to find a nice dress to wear that fits. Yikes! Other than that, I'll just try to get some things done around the house, do some yard work, install the car seat base, finish packing my hospital bag, take lots of walks, and relax! Yay for the weekend.
house cleaning, which makes me feel good about bringing baby home to an organised house!
I'm going to try to keep myself as active and busy as possible, I need to stop thinking about when I'll go into labor. The only real plan we have is a bbq on Sunday. Other than that we'll go on a lot of walks, do a lot of cleaning and organizing, and try to stay sane.
Last iron draw before delivery is tomorrow too! I'll be glad to not get poked for blood so often for a while.
@ayeshaohara good luck tomorrow!!
@yogahh - We purchased our house a year ago, and the previous owners had let the landscaping go to hell and overgrow like crazy. We didn't tackle it last year because we figured it would be easier in spring when everything was just growing out again. All the plants are popping up, so it's either let it go for another year or get it done now!
We also own a self-serve car wash, so there's cleaning and maintenance to be done there and I'd like to organize the garage. Most of my indoor nesting is done - these are all projects I can use DH with for heavy lifting and whatnot. Plus I'm hoping all the activity will get LO out!
Sunday we are taking my parents out for bfast. And then together we are doing the last baby shopping.
All in all a productive weekend.
Sunday the plan is to have my hair braided. The style I'm looking to get should last about a month and get me through labor, delivery, and the first couple postpartum weeks. Yay for not having to do my hair.
DD: 05/14/16
From my bed, I'm getting the following done:
extra key made for car
yardwork done
dogs getting a bath
maternity photoshoot
deep clean of the house
car maintenance
thank you cards
car seat installed
glider assembled
mexican food date
and most importantly, shaving before Tuesday (not in bed). It may be my most productive weekend to date!
No, the highlight of my weekend is going to a local sandwich place here and getting their turkey bacon avocado sandwich. They use pulled roasted turkey meat instead of deli cold cuts, so it's pure, guilt free, cold sandwich goodness. We also need to finally suck it up and get some good outdoor furniture now that the weather is nice. I would love to get a little sun on my pasty legs.
This weekend I have my sprinkle!
My mom suprised me by flying into town this weekend! I've been missing her so much! Knowing my mom, part of tomorrow will be spent stocking up our fridge/pantry, a coffee date, and something spontaneous. I really want to get our front flower bed planted too (we dug up the prickly bushes a few days ago). So we'll see if that gets done.
Tomorrow is also the baby shower my MIL and SIL are hosting. My MIL is really good at hosting parties so I'm pretty excited!
There's also a million other things I should get done but I'm keeping my expectations for productivity pretty low this weekend.
Tomorrow I'll relax, read some books I just recieved in the mail today, probably make a trip to the comic book store and the dog park. Then a big birthday dinner for an industry friend which means a lot of great wine and beer that I won't be drinking. Womp womp. I'll definitely be tasting some of DH's
This is a "busy" weekend for me as I try to lay low when DH can take care of the girls on the weekend. Today was the Superhero Foundation's Superhero Run, which is against child abuse. DH's coworker hosts and organizes this event, and I was so impressed! She had an awesome turnout! We did the 1K family walk!
Took a fab nap after.
Sunday is the March for Babies, and while we didn't fund raise a ton this year, we are eternally grateful for the March of Dimes because our twins had a chance to survive and I'm still pregnant at 35 weeks!! I don't think I will be walking the whole thing.
Still planning to nap after.
Mama to Three Girls:
Twins born March 2014 at 26 weeks due to preterm labor
and our 37weeker born May 9th, 2016!
