Postpartum binder

I know this came up on the boards with my first baby, but I ignored it that time because I didn't think I needed one, and ended up recovering just fine. This time, because of my crazy fluid levels, I'm essentially carrying a twin pregnancy with only one baby in there and I'm fairly nervous about recovery and the possibility of a severe diastasis. 

Has anyone used a postpartum binder before? It seems like from what I'm reading people really like the Squeem and Wink brand binders, but they are crazy expensive and I wanted to know if they really are better than just like the $20 medical supply one or the $40 belly bandit.
