I did a quick search and it doesn't look like we've talked about this yet. I was gifted a Carter's baby book with my first that I used, and it's ok, but with this baby boy I get to pick my own. Anyone found one they really like and care to share sources?

We bought this one, and I like it so far! It has places for everything from "how we found out you were coming" all the way through major milestones at age 5. I like the fact it's heavily guided... there are prompts, and things like "place ultrasound photo here"

My handwriting is pretty awful and things like this never turn out as cute as I want them to. I plan to do a Shutterfly album of our weekly bump pics, babymoon, baby shower, etc. and add any photos we have for the newborn stage. I'll be able to add any text I want and be able to keep it neat looking. Not a traditional baby book, but it may work for some. :-)

I'm obsessed with Mushybooks! They are sooo cute! I also like Lucy Darling's books.

I'm also in the empty baby book boat. I had the best of intentions, but it is sitting in his closet without a word written in it. Woops!

We wrote in DDs baby book before she was here but I haven't written anything since then. My parents don't have baby books for me or my 3 siblings either but they do have photo albums for each one of us with baby pictures and such. I like looking back on those more than I probably would reading about it.

With my older kids I have made them a shutterfly book every year. On their birthday, they get a book with photos, comments, quotes, stories of what happened during the year, birthday, holidays, vacations, etc. I then have people (friends/family) sign the book at the birthday party. (so I don't have to keep the birthday cards). Each child has a growing collection of books to look back upon what happened in their life, along with messages of hope, love and funny stories that people have shared written inside by the people who are most important to them. Don't know how long I will keep doing this. My oldest just got his 8th book.

Great idea, ladies, thanks! Now I have some ideas to start looking. Amazingly, I am completely caught up on DS's baby book. I hope I can do the same with DS2. 

@searchingforameaning I did a Shutterfly book for DS's first year, and I'm just going to do a Shutterfly family album for each year after that. I love the idea of having everyone sign at the birthday party!
