My winning...

Some of you probably remember a couple month ago back when my DH's car was vandalized and pretty much destroyed. He finally got his car back Monday. Because they had to completely replace every panels paint, I suggested he just get it orange like he's wanted for a while. Turn a bad situation into a slightly better one. I wanted to post a picture of how badass it looks and wanted to let everyone know how happy he is with it. 
The top is the way it looked back in June at Ford Nationals (where he won second place in his division) and the bottom picture is how the car is now.

I haven't seen it in person yet because he's been keeping it in the garage at work because he's working on it at the moment. I can't wait to see it in person!

Four high school teachers at work helped me with testing yesterday when they didn't have to, and lost their planning period because of it. And while they didn't grumble to my face, I'm sure they weren't thrilled. Lol. So last night I made them little goody bags of candy (good candy, too!) and a note to thank them and left them in their boxes. I know it's not much, but I appreciate my teachers! Trying to remember to be appreciative in these last few weeks of work. 

Downside: I didn't save any candy for myself and I'm regretting that big time.

@AdorkablePixie So happy for your DH! My DH is also a ST fan (he had the Ford Fiesta ST 2014 before trading it in for a car with 4 doors for baby). I hope that he has many happy kilometres going forward!

Our oldest cat (she's about 8 or 9) has been super snuggly the past two weeks or so, and stayed by me all night last night.  She's not a huge fan of me because I tend to punish her for her wrongdoings while DH doesn't, but she cuddled in my arms like a baby last night and I carried her while doing chores.  I'll take what I can get

Our BIL and SIL (DH's brother and his wife) announced yesterday that they're expecting.  I am so excited for them and we have been suspecting it based on how they've been talking and they moved their 4 year old to her "big girl room" while leaving the nursery furniture all set up in the other room.  The kicker is that there are 3...Triplets!  Still early on for sure since she's only 8 weeks along, but whoa.  Winning! I am one happy aunt!

Winning for me today is that my vehicle is finally getting fixed today after the shop ordering the wrong part twice. I guess third time is a charm also winning is that I'm finally on my 30 day countdown and I can't believe LO is almost here!!

I've been wanting to order these baby leg warmers from Amazon but they were out of stock..they were just restocked today so I grabbed them. A small win, but a win nonetheless

I took a 30 minute nap after waking up and getting ready because I didn't have to leave my house until 8:30. Win.

Results from my level 2 ultrasound yesterday came back great. Doctor said baby is just big. Depending on my BP cooperating for the next few weeks I may have to be induced right at 40 weeks which throws my birth center plans out the window, but idc anymore bc we know baby is healthy. I'm going to just do whatever is needed at this point.

The hospital gave me a menu to order my meals. The omelet and biscuits and gravy were on point this morning!

DH and my mom is seriously winning this week. 

DH who dropped everything to be with me in my time of need. And who is supporting me now in the sweetest way he knows. I am so happy to have him as my other half. 

And my mom who is preparing home made freezer meals so I don't have to cook for the next couple of nights.

Yesterday afternoon after I was discharged, when we visited LO in NICU she was still hooked up to IVs,feeding tube, billy light, and hep lock in her head.
Last night when we cameback to visit, she was off the IVs and feeding tube. The only thing remaining on her is the hep lock and the billy light.   She still has some problems with oxygen saturation, but it is getting better. When we came back they had also moved her to the more stable section of the NICU where the babies that are closer to going home are kept. She is hungry something fierce and LOVES to be snuggled. She screamed bloody murder when we had to put her back into her crib so we could go back home.   That is my winning Wednesday. I hope to get an equally good report today when we go.

today is my work baby shower....which means catered mexican food from a delicious local hole in the wall and home made deserts. free delicious food = winning

DS didn't need stitches yesterday after falling head-first into the metal bar on our baby gate! (It was a close call.) Plus, he was a real trooper at the ER while being evaluated. 

The baked potatoes that I had been baking in the oven when the above happened stayed well in the turned-off oven so we were still able to eat them when we got home-- and I made extras to pack a loaded baked potato each for DH and me to bring to work today. And honestly, remembering to turn the oven off while cuddling DS rather than just hauling off to the hospital and leaving it on was a pretty big accomplishment too based on how bad my pregnancy brain has bee lately.

4 more work days!

I just had a surprise baby shower at work for me and June mama. I didn't have any idea that this was even being planned for me since its baby #3 by it was my first in this department. Everyone was very generous and had a very nice breakfast catered in. I almost cried several times

It's hump day. It's Chickfila lunch day (Spicy chicken sandwich for the win!). I get a hair cut tonight to chop these locks and get my eyebrows not looking like caterpillars on my face. All wins so far!

I first read that as DH instead of DS, and was thinking "aww, her husband was being a trooper at the ER." Glad your son is OK!

Get me out of this box QBF on phone app. Anyway hospital I was at was like that too. The food was amazing. I opted to wait til lunch before leaving just to get one more awesome meal.

We set up a few registries just to get coupons and the end discount. Well my SIL and her mom found out and bought us the double stroller we wanted. Such a great surprise since it was at the top of our purchase list and funds are a bit short right now!

I've been feeling pretty negative lately but I just realized I do have something winning today.

It is my grandfather's 96th birthday today! And last month my other grandfather turned 97. And my grandmother is 94. I am so lucky.

AdorkablePixie my DH has the same ST ( but not as cool looking) It's our baby car for now until I get something new. Yah for relearning to drive manual.

I'm winning because I got dates and dark chocolate to snack on at work and remembered to bring them to work. And to my co-worker who has 2 kids and keeps me in check so I don't go crazy.

I just booked a mani/pedi for tomorrow to prep for my induction on Friday. I'll be winning tomorrow, today not so much.

We took a gamble and moved forward with a full master bath reno and partial upstairs office/nursery bathroom reno. It's been slow moving, and I've been afraid to ask about timeline. He said that he'd be doing finishing touches the first week of May. Sooooo - that's a week and a half left to finish the bathroom in order to do these finishing touches. Anyway, I feel like we're winning because he put up tile yesterday, and he's going to finish the rest of the wall today. It's nice to see progress!*

*For anyone who knows a lot about bathroom renos, sees this picture, and thinks there is no way our bathroom will be fully finished in 2.5 weeks, I don't want to know. Just let me live in my bubble of optimism.

I'm winning because I had a routine OB appointment today with one of the other doctor's in my doctor's practice (she wants me to meet them all since any one of them could be on call for the delivery).  I was a little nervous because I've never met this doctor, but she was super-nice and very informative.  On my way to work, I stopped for an Egg McMuffin, and I won a free Egg McMuffin on my McDonald's Monopoly game piece.  Then, I got to work and my boss had bought chair massages for our whole team.  Once I verified that the massage therapist was a certified prenatal therapist, I got my massage (after some maneuvering of the pillows to accommodate my belly!), and I feel so much better!  Now, I'm about to go get some free food at the event my company is having downstairs.  I have only gotten about an hour of actual work done today, but I'd still call today a success!  Oh, and DH will be home tomorrow night from his 10-day work trip, so that's definitely winning!

@Lusitano8 It's a nice car! I like it. He's tried to teach me to drive it and I did REALLY good the first time. The second time I kept stalling, got really frustrated, and gave up. Haven't tried again since.

I'll join your bubble of optimism! I've seen many renovations and that's plenty of time to get things done. Make sure to post pictures when it's done

I got a new (well 2013) minivan - and I love driving it so much more than I thought!  I hope I feel that way for the next 10 yrs.
I keep checking things off my to-do list!  (but I also keep adding to it)

@missnc77 that is some nice looking tile!!! DH and I redid both of our bathrooms when we bought our house. 2.5 weeks is definitely doable

My winning Wednesday are my kids. My 5 year old has the book fair going on at his school right now and I volunteered to help and he's just the sweetest. He was putting books on his "wish list" that weren't too expensive and that he and his brothers would all like. Then, at recess he was going around picking up trash without anyone (but me) realizing or "rewarding" him for it. It's just the way he is. Right now, my 4 year old is helping me clean the house because he knows I have a hard time cleaning anything that requires bending and he offers to do it. And my 22 month old is just all smiles and talking a lot. He's at this stage where you can see a change in him on a daily basis and it's remarkable.

I know STM+ know that their kid(s) are amazing but I can't wait for all the FTM here to get to see this in their own children.

My work threw me a surprise baby shower! And tomorrow we're going to DH's work for a planned baby shower they're throwing us super sweet of them both.

Also found out I'm negative for all cultures test, including GBS woot!

My boss has also put me in super light duty since we just got a new hire. It's going to make the next 2 weeks pretty awesome earning income and taking it easy.

My winning Wednesday is not only did I make it through work, but one of my coworkers gave me a bunch of cute clothes she doesn't want anymore! I'm feeling physically pretty miserable so it made my day a lot better.

Winning, because I was going to have my mom come stay with me on the nights DH works during my last two weeks or so, but my anxiety has really been up lately and I didn't even have to call her or say anything about it and she offered to come stay starting this weekend. Feeling 1000x better already. 

Also, y'all are all winning today because I could have been lazy and taken my HDBD on time today while in this white tank top that barely reaches my belly button, DH's boxers, and the epic bedhead I've been sporting lately, but instead I chose the path of even more laziness and am probably going to wait until my appointment on Friday when I have to actually get dressed in real clothes to post anything. You're welcome.
