Hey ladies,
Now that we are nearing the time when some of us are planning our outfits for baby showers/ hair dos I would love to see what you have picked out. I had a very hard time picking a dress out because I have grown a bit( as we all have) but my shoulders are narrow and even some smalls are very large on me. I tried on 25 dresses last night and found one that DH and I liked. We also have a wedding 2 days before my due date that I need something to wear to, haha if I make it. I have attached a picture of my dress and shoes at 23 weeks, but I will be 31 around my shower date. I also attached a photo of what my hair stylist will do to my hair. I'm just too lazy to want to do my own hair the day of. I could see myself crying all morning feeling hideous, so I'm treating myself.

Re: Baby shower dress/ Hair sharing :)
Love the hair styles @Katm89! I have no idea what I'll do with mine. Considering it'll probably be 100 degrees, I'll probably end up in a messy bun.
Edited because words...

@Tnallen107 I wanted a backyard BBQ!!! but its a Jack & Jill so too many people. Thanks about the hair! I am not taking Maternity photos, so photos from my shower will go in my baby book to document the pregnancy, so I knew I would have a crying fit the day of if it wasn't perfect haha.
Katm89, I would just try on the dress a few more times before your shower, because it will be considerably shorter at 31w vs 23w, especially since it's knee-length. I remember with DD around this time 22/23/24w is when the growing belly really started to GROW quickly. There are things I'm wearing now that I definitely won't be able to wear anymore even in just a couple more weeks. Heck, I already have some things that I could wear a week or two ago and now I can't anymore!

This is the dress I picked out, and THESE shoes. Yes I know they will be killing me, but I figure the shower is being held at my house, I can always change them / take them off. We held the rehearsal dinner at my house, I was barefoot (and dressed nicely), lol.
Likely I'll do a low ponytail, with loose bits in front.
Unfortunately, if the dress doesn't fit I will be forced to wear pants because all the maxi dresses are way too long on me for some reason. It's a real shame otherwise I would wear one to the shower so I don't need to sit polite while opening presents.
@MamaKSquared I have thought about getting my nails done! I'll have to see if I have the money, but I will probably just do them myself haha
I *had* to have those shoes, and I couldn't imagine buying something so impractical unless they were "for" something.
Shameless justification.
Also, if maxi dresses don't work and short flowys are too short, I'm planning to wear something like this for my sprinkle. It's not flowy and not a maxi, and it's ruched and fitted so it'll fit over my belly and really show it off. And it's long enough that I won't have to worry about showing everyone my Britney! I actually own this in both of these prints already.
ShanRum3 My shower was a BabyQ, too. I wore a beige and black striped maxi dress and flip flops. Kept my hair down per usual. That was in May when I was 35w with DD, and even then I was a hot mess running around outside lol.

@Allisun85 I wore high heels to mine too and it wasn't an issue at all because I was sitting most of the time anyway. It was the last time I wore heels all pregnancy, but it made me feel much prettier in my dress, so totally worth it!
@katm89, did you consider having a maxi dress hemmed? Our dry cleaner does hemming for pretty cheap, I've done it often since I'm 5'3" and most maxi's are too long on me as well. Also, the destination maternity by me has a petite section, so that might be something to look into. Your dress is adorable, though, so that's only a suggestion because it seems like you would have wanted a maxi, but couldn't get the right length!
@bookhousegirl I wear low wedge style heels to work all the time still, so I think it should be fine!
I also bought them a half a size up from normal, and tried them on in the store *after* my feet had started to swell (we walked around home depot first!) so I know they'll fit.
I love it and it's super comfy! My one cousin said it reminds her of the Arizona Green Tea bottle which had me cracking up!
I'm actually getting my hair done that morning so it will probably end up looking a lot like the girl in the pic
lucypod I love Pink Blush! I just wish they made their dresses longer. I couldn't even wear some of their maternity dresses stuff when I wasn't pregnant because it was too darn short! I had a maternity/nursing dress I was going to wear after DD was born and I couldn't, at least not in public. I ended up using it as a night dress/shirt lol And now that you say that I'm totally seeing Arizona Iced Tea haha, but I wouldn't have put that together if you hadn't said it.

ETA: I found it! thank you, I believe I may have found my dress
@lucypod I looked at that dress too, it's super pretty- but it didn't match my shoes! (Yes, I bought the dress to match the shoes, not vice versa.)
And yup, now I see green tea.
@Bookhousegirl I tried on a couple maxis at destination maternity and they were very large on my breasts too. I think old navy or target might be better to get one later in the pregnancy.
(I really wish I could post pics of my options, but I haven't been able to since the update and they haven't been able to fix it.)
