Ugh...I'm back here in WTO. My temp is still at cover but it looks like today is cd1. Of course I have an all day meeting off site. I have extremely painful cramps every month, enough that I've missed work over it and I have a really high pain tolerance. I just hope to survive the day and then drink all the wine tonight.
i am cautiously optimistic about joining you here. today is CD1 on my 2nd cycle post ectopic. my dr said i'm clear ttc if my HSG next week is clear so fx it's clear and i'm waiting to O.
edit for clarification

I had an ultrasound today. Apparently I have passed all the tissue and I won't be needing a D&C this time. My uterus and ovaries look normal too. So that is a little good news after all.
Now my OBGYN is having me do some blood work to see if i have any condition (or disease) that could trigger pregnancy loss. He said he is going to ask for "the most important tests" but not all of them (genetic ones) because it would be too much at this point.
I keep thinking that I would like to know what other tests (genetic or others) you can do, in order to avoid another miscarriage. Since this process is so painful I would rather do extra tests (if I can afford them) if it helps me to prevent a possible loss. At least I would like to be given the option, know how much they cost, if my insurance covers them, etc... and make an informed decision.
What do you guys think? Have you done something like that after 2 losses?
Thank you in advance. hugs -Y

You can get rather crazy with testing, even some that are rather invasive. You can also have genetic testing on yourself and DH but that is super pricy from what I hear. If you aren't seeing an RE yet, your provider will likely start out basic and go from there. If something can be uncovered with basic testing, it's much less expensive in the long run. All of the tests I had totalled about $75 after insurance.

@yolandamunoz DH and I both had karyotype testing done (to see if either of us carry a chromosomal abnormality) and we were relieved to find out neither of us did, so our second loss which had a genetic abnormality was just a random fluke. But I had a full panel done about a month ago (which I didn't understand, but the nurse said the do it after two losses). The only thing that showed up on mine was that I could be prone to blood clots. It was worth it to me/us just because we felt like we wanted to know if either of us carried anything because now we are terrified of having more losses. Best of luck on whatever you decide
Thank you @Aera11 that is exactly how I feel. I would like to know if we have some genetic background that is giving us problems staying pregnant. i am also terrified of another loss.
Would it be a pain to ask you if you can post (or personal message) the details of that "full panel". I live in Chile so I have to translate everything to Spanish (not the same acronyms hehe) and to their usual technical terms.
Thank you so much for your input!!
