Is Anyone Nesting?

Re: Is Anyone Nesting?

  • Also, FWIW, we already got the crib and changing table. Originally I didn't want a dresser (we were going to use a wardrobe because the room at our current house didn't have a second closet) but now I want one.

  • All you nesting ladies just need to come to my house! Lol. I have no desire or motivation at the moment to do much cleaning! I hope it hits soon. I wish I would just get my energy back already!

  • I started creating my registry today, adding all the non gender specific stuff, and it's helping scratch the nesting itch.

I started a registry today too and instead of feeling like I accomplished something, I feel super overwhelmed.

  • We purposefully moved into a home with 5 bedrooms last summer because we were planning on a baby. The nursery has been empty this whole time. DS puts "baby toys" that he comes across in there and we bought a crib and I  put it together last week. If I come across any baby stuff, I just toss it in the room for now. One of these days, I'll start sorting through all of DS old stuff to see what we plan on re-using.
  • I've made a to-do list if that counts? I've gotten started on emptying the room that will be the nursery (I have to empty that, to move DS in there to do his room, then him back to do nursery, ugh!) and I've got a plan to go out tomorrow when I'm alone and buy the things I need to do the shelves in DS's closet and my pantry. I feel like once I tackle one big project it will be easier to keep the ball rolling.

My husband keeps telling me I was much more productive 3rd tri than 2nd last time and to stop stressing, but I'm going to be huge and tired with a toddler, I need to get things checked off.

  • @mrscorker I started with a diaper pail and went from there!
  • I have start too I think alot of stuff around my apartment is driving me crazy
  • I can't tell if it's nesting or the normal Spring Cleaning bug that gets me every year. We just bought this house in October and there is still a LOT to do. Our current project is re-doing the bathroom, which is almost done, it just needs another coat of paint and the baseboards put in. We did a new sink, new toilet, new flooring, new wall color, new mirror, corrected some wiring issues, and tore out an old baseboard heater.

Next we'll have to figure out how to reconfigure our room to fit a nursery nook in there.
