Gallbladder issues

I am 11 weeks pp and just had my gallbladder removed yesterday. The surgeon told me it's not uncommon to have gallbladder issues after pregnancy. My gallbladder attacks felt like upper back pain and started 2 weeks pp.  The pain was so severe I had nausea and vomiting. So, ladies if you feel like something is wrong, go to the Dr. I really thought my back pain was just all the extra lifting with my baby. I waited so long to go to the Dr that my gallbladder was about to rupture and was so enlarged the surgeon had to make a bigger incision than planned.  Has anyone else had gallbladder issues after pregnancy?

I had it during pregnancy, I was in so much pain for the last 4 months or so.  Lucky for me it didn't get bad enough the had to remove it and it went back to normal after brothers. I lived in fear though

I'm in the same boat,  waiting for ultrasound to see what next step is.

I ended up having mine removed at 17 week pregnant with this last pregnancy. It completely came up out of nowhere as I've never had issues with my gall bladder before. It seriously knocked me on my butt though. Having unexplained pain? Talk to the doctor, that is what they are there for anyway.

I had mine removed age 26, 9wks pp c-section with dd#1 four years ago. In high school through early adulthood I was mysteriously ill a lot with nausea and digestive issues. I went to my family doctor/specialists multiple times and had several invasive tests. But nothing was ever found. Then I had a terrible attack so bad I thought I had ruptured my uterus in my last trimester that sent me to the er. Sure enough that thing was done. It had started failing me in highshcool. I have a family history of this apparently, most of . Recovering from abdominal surgery with a newborn is insanity.

I had mine out at 21 (10 years ago) after issues that started in high school.  One thing I wish my doctor had told me was to really watch my fat intake from food since the gallbladder helps the body break down fat in the digestive process.  Gained about 40 lbs in a year because I was a college student and lived on bad foods.  Just an FYI.  They say females in the fertile stage of their lives are most at risk for gallbladder disease.
