Week: 8! Is it weird that I feel like missing my second period is a milestone?
What's new with baby (size, development): Baby is the size of a raspberry, is growing a millimeter a day, is wiggling its arms and legs and is developing taste buds!!
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: we are doing some pre-baby prep things that are indirectly related. We ordered a king sized bed and new headboard and linens. My MIL sent me some Gator baby clothes for my birthday, they are my first official baby clothes! I cried when I opened the package. I also booked a trip home in early May. We will tell my dad and make it public then.
Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: the bloat has begun. My belly feels hard and I cannot suck it in at all. I feel like a balloon. Not a good look. I also feel hungover from watching people get drunk on a boat yesterday. It is absolutely gorgeous out today and all I want to do is take a nap and try to sleep off this headache. I feel dehydrated after being out in the sun and wind all day and no amount of water is making me feel better. ETA the shortness of breath is a little scary. All morning yesterday I could not take a deep breath and got a little light headed. Luckily it passes, but it gives me a lot of anxiety, which only makes it worse. Rave: I have already finished season 2 of Kimmy Schmidt and it was HILARIOUS!!!! I may have to rewatch it.
When is your next appointment: 28 April. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter!!
GTKY: Did you go to prom? Any good stories? sorry this question is random. My brain is NOT feeling creative and I have seen some friends kids going to prom lately, so it was fresh on my mind. I went junior year with a cute boy from another school. I loved my dress and had a great time. I didn't have anyone to go with senior year and just didn't care enough to go stag. I got drunk at the after party house with a bunch of other people while we waited for the people who went to be done.
Week: 11 (does anyone else start rounding up earlier than the ticker change? Like my boss asked me Wednesday how far along I was and I answered "almost 11 weeks...)
What's new with baby (size, development): lime (perhaps a key lime?)
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: nothing this week
Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: might not be pregnancy related, but my ribs really hurt. Ended up in urgent care yesterday because the pain was making it hard to breathe deeply. Still not 100% what it is, but the doc's best guess was that I'd pulled a muscle in my ribcage (while I was sleeping?!) so I'm now on muscle relaxers. That is helping, so here's hoping it heals fast so I can get on with my life.
When is your next appointment: just had one Friday (hb of 169..took forever to find and only got it for a couple seconds before he/she hid again) so another 4 weeks for me.
GTKY: Did you go to prom? Any good stories? I did, but nothing crazy. I'm from such a small town that there arent enough people for anything exciting to happen.
What's new with baby (size, development): no longer a fetus. The size of a cherry.
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: continuing to find the most information on carriers, cribs, bassinets, car seats. Looking at it all.
Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I pinched a nerve in my neck. So that's been horrible. Rave I'm beginning to feel better. Symptoms just insomnia. Questions anyone have any natural remedies for neck/back pain? I also just started another squat challenge. So my legs are killing me.
When is your next appointment: hopefully in the next week if someone cancels.
GTKY: Did you go to prom? Any good stories? im in Canada so ours is called Dry Grad. I hadn't eaten like anything leading up to grad so I went a bit crazy. Then got changed out of my dress and ate so much food. Then watched some fellow classmates get hyponitzed. I stayed till 7am the following day and then we were expected to go to school the next day. Haha. Sure.

Please explain. Unless this is a euphemism for getting drunk or high, I don't think the Canadian version of prom is ANYTHING like the American version.
@HeyBooHey actually what @pinnerk said sounds on part for proms in my area. After the dance itself us over, everyone stays for what we called "after prom"... You change into comfy clothes and get locked in the school until sunrise. (the idea is that if there's An alternative to going to parties that is more fun than getting wasted, kids will choose it and there will be less chance of a prom night car wreck).
We didn't have a hypnotist, but one year, we had a mechanical bull. We also had a full arcade set up in the cafeteria, tons of inflatables, more food than an army could eat, and everyone left with a door prize (everything from gift cards to dorm fridges). Pretty normal where I grew up.

Haha. Yea pretty much what amanda said. Except we don't dance. They had a small room with some music going but no one danced. We had every fast food place in town make hundreds of burgers/sushi/subway sub's. Tons of food. We had sumo wrestling suits set up, a rockwall, a bull. A small casino set up. The way our grad works is you walk the stage in your dress (no cap and gown) and then get herded into dry grad. They lock the doors and you are not allowed to leave unless you don't come back. They search everything, your clothes and purses. It was fun but a really long night. I loved the food tho. I didn't eat anything for weeks leading up to grad except cucumbers and celery.
Huh. We had what they called "Prom Plus" for my senior prom, which is what you all described, but we weren't locked in. Which was a good thing because I am so not an all-night person! I need me some sleep!
Grad night at Disneyland though? Locked in. Happiest Place on Earth my ass.
Me: 30 DH: 32 ~~ TTC #1: Sep 2015 ~~ BFP: Mar 2016 ~~ Daughter: Nov 2016 TTC #2: April 2018 ~~ BFP: May 2018 ~~ EDD: January 2019
What's new with baby (size, development): starting to grow hair, fingernails.Wiggling around, stretching out.
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Looking for a bigger place, one with a yard to help keep our toddler busy, but we won't move until end of summer. Pulled all my maternity clothes out ♥
Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: nausea is intermittent, getting better. Still pretty damn tired, I am tired of being tired. Also, vivid dreams have arrived, it's intense.
When is your next appointment: May 2nd is my NT scan, labs, woohoo!
GTKY: Did you go to prom? Any good stories? No. I had health issues that prevented me from that stage in high school. I doubled down on my wedding and made up for it.
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: I didn't really do anything. The U/S tech said it's probably a girl which we were hoping for. So, we have everything we need, except consumables.
Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Still nauseous, full blown HG. I thought it was gone last thursday but that lasted all of one day. Very appreciative of my 1 day though.
When is your next appointment: May 2nd but I had an elective ultrasound yesterday at 12 weeks before we announce.
GTKY: Did you go to prom? Any good stories? Yes, I don't even want to think about it. I was dumbbbb lol.
What's new with baby (size, development): Size of a lime, even though my belly is looking much bigger than that lol
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Not much, just finished telling all of our immediate family this weekend, so we will probably announce to everyone else after my next doctor's appointment in a week or two.
Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: One of the things I dislike about pregnancy is not being able to sleep on my back because I am a total back sleeper. As I recall from my last one, we're supposed to stop in the 2nd tri, but I'm already starting to feel unfordable on my back. Boo hoo, I was hoping to enjoy one more week of back sleeping :-/
When is your next appointment: In about a week. Can't wait!
GTKY: Did you go to prom? Any good stories? I did, but don't really have any good stories, just the usual teenage shenanigans
Hey everyone. I was on Monday ticker change, but my doc moved my EDD up one day, so rather than try and think of 2 different dates all pregnancy, I decided to just change it on here too. It's a little annoying because both of my girls were born past their due date, but ah well. Can I join your group?
Week: 9
What's new with baby (size, development): Olive
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: I haven't done much, but I did pull out old maternity clothes the other day. My belly totally popped out this week. My 4 year old asked, "Mama, why is your belly getting so big?!" while watching me change. My husband mentioned how pregnant I look too. My abs really have lost all ability to hold things in after a few pregnancies I guess.
Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Rant : My H usually only travels for work every 6 months or so, but he's really crazy with travel right now. He's gone tomorrow through Friday this week. Monday - Tuesday next week. And then Sunday - Wed the following week. Ugh.
When is your next appointment: Not for a week and a half. I am impatient to see baby again, or hear a heartbeat or something so I know baby is growing in there.
GTKY: Did you go to prom? Any good stories? I didn't. I was an exchange student in France my senior year, so I wasn't at home. And junior year we had an exchange student retreat the same weekend as prom.
What's new with baby (size, development): Size of a Cherry. No longer an embryo, LO is a fetus now!
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Combining our junk room that still contains boxes from moving 2 years ago and the guest room so that we will have a nursery. Also trying to finish some misc household projects which has been nice!
Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Getting some real nausea this week. I can't complain too bad because I have had it really easy so far. But for the first time I have to actually try to keep dinner down. However, the bloat (at least I really hope it is bloat) has been horrible since day 1. I had to exchange out a bridesmaid dress for 2 sizes bigger yesterday .... I know it will be better that way because I have no idea what size "the girls" will be by the time the wedding is here. But it is just a little depressing.
When is your next appointment: Wed 4/20! Getting another ultrasound before my RE graduates us to our regular OB.
GTKY: Did you go to prom? Any good stories? Yep. Nothing too exciting because I was a goody goody (kinda) in high school. I did go with my now husband so its always fun to look back at old pictures of us when we were so little!
