Re: First birthday already!!
As for her birthday, I have been planning since January. The theme is ladybugs (I was big into ladybugs when I was little). We will be going to my parents' house in Florida. By that time, it will have been almost 4 years since I've been there. Both of my brothers and their families will be there. They will all get to meet their niece/cousin for the first time. I have a nephew I haven't met and he will be 5 next month. His older brother was 8 months old the last time I saw him (he will be almost 7 then).
All in all, it probably won't be too big of an event. Just us and my family (13 people) and maybe a few friends. I plan to have the usual. Food, cake, presents and a special outfit. Nothing too structured. I want to enjoy the fun and not worry if something will go wrong.
Her birthday theme is You Are My Sunshine. It'll mostly be family. Our church has a fellowship house on the property where they usually have potlucks and stuff, we're having it there. It'll mainly just be food and family mingling. LO will get her smash cake of course lol.
We haven't set a date for the party yet, but we're keeping everything low-key. It's going to be at our house, mostly family and a few close friends. LO loves ice cream (she had some for the first time on Easter) and we suspect she'll love cake too, so we'll be having plenty of that. I'm probably going to make a couple of cakes, or possibly just some cupcakes. We don't have much in the way of a theme, but I still have some pink decorations left over from our gender reveal party, so I'll most likely use some of those up.

I really don't want her to get presents. I know it is kind of mean to say, but I'd rather her enjoy the toys she does have instead of playing with them a little and never looking at them again. I can't think of a nice way to say it on invitations. In my head it mostly sounds like, "We do not want your crappy presents." lol.
