We're going to lunch with friends today, and I have nothing to wear... My pants were tight from weight gain before pregnancy bloat came into the picture and either my boobs (which were already big) grew or all my shirts got shorter. I have time to go out and get something, but I'll probably take a nap and continue to live in denial of my situation before settling for something unflattering in a couple hours!

I love that my kids are growing up to be nerds too. My oldest is a gamer, like his dad, and a coder like his uncle, and my daughter is a superhero-obsessed Whovian who loves anime. But they both also love to go outside and play too.
I can't wait to see what Kid 3 is like.

I'm at day 2 of my tactical emergency class. It's 70+ degrees and I'm in long sleeves, long pants, boots and body armor complete with a helmet and a rifle. I'm dying.
@MrsDho11 have you been using the hair tie trick for your pants? It's been saving me lately. I noticed in week 8 the blump started getting pretty substantial for me, and had to start using the hair tie every day.
I just had a meltdown because DH lost the tiny BuildABear bag containing the plain white t-shirt for our son's werewolf. I was going to print/iron on "Baby Last name" on it so we could finally film our announcement video. I just ripped the house apart before he admitted he probably tossed it.
Hell hath no fury like a pregnant woman scorned. I apologized to him for verbally melting his face off, but I am in a daze over how fast I got mad.
More people are coming to my daughters birthday party than I thought. Really regretting having it at our tiny house. Cleaning and getting ready with pregnancy sickness is the absolute worst.
why do I do this to myself?!? However, I know DD's happiness from it all will be worth it.
My baby is sick! He's been sick many times before but this time he is just so uncomfortable and it's breaking my heart! On the upside, we haven't moved from the couch in a few hours. Can't remember the last time I lounged on the couch during the day...
Had a color Mary Kay party at my mom's house. DH was working so I was sending him pictures of what I was doing and how my face looked. I usually don't wear make up so I wanted to know what he thought. His response..."What did you do to your face?" ......... Nice, hun...

Sleep training is going so well with DS. I did the chair method and this is the 3rd time I've done it but this time he's really taking to it. We even tried it for nap time and he fell asleep within 6 min. Bam!
I surprised myself today with the amount of cleaning I did. I sat on the floor and scrubbed the cupboards. They should have been done a year ago but we just kept forgetting. Then I scrubbed the floor. I also made spaghetti and French onion soup for the crockpot. It should be perfect by lunch tomorrow. Now its bath time and a marathon of drop dead diva.
I bought a belly band from target for $20 yesterday. I can now wear my old pants unbuttoned while still feeling secure. Saved me so much money since I no longer needed mat. pants!! Highly recommend.
DH and I are watching the Kings vs Sharks playoff game, and the organist started playing the "getting sh*t done" music from Doctor Who! It was awesome. I don't know the actual name of that song on the show, but super recognizable, used frequently with David Tennant and Matt Smith.
Omg will my placenta just take over already?! I'm SO tired of being sick all the damn time.... I know it's worth it and don't get me wrong a side of me is grateful to be sick because it means there's a growing baby.... But that side can suck it right now because ten plus hours of nausea everyday blows a big one!
Laying in bed next to DH this morning and I could smell his breath. He was not close. It smelled totally funky & had me like ack. I'm taking comfort in this. PGAL struggle is real.
I am a sick individual.
Not sure if I need to TW PGAL mention. Seemed like overkill.
Driving to day 3 of tactical medic/swat class and my sons jam came on the radio. His jam before life changed and Austim took over our every being. Nothing like being a bad ass with puffy red eyes and tears streaming down my face.
My oldest is turning 4 tomorrow and I'm feeling all the feelings. Yesterday we had a fun mother daughter date to the ballet to see Coppelia. Today we're meeting friends at the park to kick around a soccer ball. I'm exhausted but hoping she has a great weekend.
DH and I had a date night last night and it was so nice! It was the first time I felt normal enough to go out to dinner in a while. Then, we rented a movie, which we watched in bed while cuddling. Then we had some MUCH needed intimate time. It was awesome. I've been going nuts without it lately (probably what's been causing all of my ridiculous sex dreams lately), but the nausea combined with downright painful boobs made the idea of anyone touching me want to cry. This was my first normal feeling weekend in a long time! I hit 11 weeks yesterday, so hang in there, ladies! There is a light at the end of the 1st tri tunnel!

@phoenix870509 - oooohhhh, I feel you pain. My H says stuff like that all the time. I still remember getting ready and dressed up for my brothers wedding and having him say (in front of my mom and sister), "did you do that to your hair on purpose?"

I spent all day yesterday on a boat drinking ginger ale with everyone else drinking all the booze. I had a great time, but today I feel like I have a hangover! Headache, exhausted, sore throat. Not cool.
I ended up in urgent care yesterday. Woke up to sharp pain in my ribcage. After several hours, it hadn't gone away... It felt like I'd somehow bruised my rib while sleeping, and it was making it painful to take a deep breath. Called the OB and talked to the on-call nurse. She told me to take 1000mg Tylenol and go in if it didn't help. 3 hours later, I had no relief, so in we went.
Her biggest concern was a blood clot (I guess that's worst-case scenario for a pg woman and unexplained pain) but they ruled that out. In the end, the urgent care doc guessed I'd somehow pulled a muscle in my ribcage and put me on muscle relaxers. They seem to be helping. It's not perfect, but its more of a dull ache rather than an actual pain, so I'll take it.
@MrsDho11 he does that every time! I don't wear make up ever, and when I do he's like, but you don't need it. It's sweet, but sometimes just say you look great. Ugh, men!

DH competed in the Gravy Bowl yesterday as part of Poutine Week. He was paired with a local chef and they came up with a concept together. His lobster poutine actually won! It was a really fun event.
A stomach bug on top of morning sickness is a cruel joke. Thank goodness it was a Sunday and DH answered his phone at 530 am and came home from camping.
Dang bump app, why you no give notifications when I'm tagged?
@Thewizardofrhythm DS is 16 months! He was seriously the worst sleeper ever, and now hes consistently sleeping through the night. I never thought this day would come!
@AlexLindzz & @HomeyDontPlayThat the chair method is you sitting next to the crib in a chair until baby falls asleep, every 3 nights you move a little closer to the door until you are on the other side of a closed door. It works really well and is definitely on the gentler side of sleep training. I read the sleep lady shuffle (I think the name of the book is good night, sleep tight), and there is some crying, but you are in the room with them and they know you aren't going away. IDK, I just could never do CIO so this was a nice compromise for both of us sleeping and DS also learning to fall asleep on his own.
@nauticallife I am seriously so happy for you. My son didn't sleep though the night foreeeeeeverrr and I literally thought I was going to keel over most days. We tried CIO but it wouldn't work for night sleep. It did for naps though. We ended up doing this thing with converting the milk to water and it worked. I remember crying tears of joy the first morning I woke up after he slept through. Amazing. Honestly, this is the part I'm the most terrified for with this new baby.
omg @Thewizardofrhythm , i'm so terrified of the sleep issue with this baby too! I mean with DS I had to GO TO SLEEP WITH HIM AT 7PM EVERY DAY! He literally wouldn't sleep without touching me. I refuse to let it get that bad this time. The sleep lady shuffle has chapters on how to get good sleepers from the get-go that I'm going to read. I also think a big part of it was I never even let DS fuss when he was little. I wasn't doing him any favors.
