Evening sickness?

Anyone else experiencing symptoms of morning sickness only in the evening? I literally have to force myself to eat something between lunch and breakfast the next day because I have major food aversions, nausea and relux issues. Anyone else? 7w4days for me today.

I'm sick all day for the most part but it is twice as bad after 2pm. From 2pm until when I go to bed I can barely function :(

  • @xmomx im so sorry you are going through that! My doctors keep asking about morning sickness and I keep neglecting the fact that every evening I feel terrible and can't eat! I hope yours eases up soon!
  • "Morning" is a serious Misnomer. Try all day or only at night or anything else really.
  • Mine is all day sickness.  You're not alone.

  • Yup mine is in the evening after dinner. I get really gaggy. Now that I'm 11 weeks it has started to subside, but it was awful for a while. I wish it wasn't called morning sickness, it doesn't make sense for a lot of us!
  •  Yes!! All day sickness :s

  • Whoever called it morning sickness seriously needs to be punched in the face (as my little nephew would say). I hit the 8 week mark today and I've had all day sickness since Monday. It's unpredictable too. A few days ago I was nauseous all day. Yesterday I got a few hours reprieve. Who knows how today will go.

  • With my first pregnancy I didn't eat dinner for pretty much the entire first trimester because it would come right back up. Same thing this time around, most of my nausea happens at nighttime. The "morning" part of "morning sickness" is a serious misnomer.
  • Yea when they say morning sickness they're just asking you if you're feeling nauseated and getting sick. They aren't actually asking if you're getting sick in the morning.

  • Mine is mostly after 6PM. Except this morning, I'm feeling like crap.

the good thing about having evening sickness is that I can just go to bed early.

  • All day sickness here too but worse after 6pm. My OB put me on diclegis but I'm not convinced it's doing much.

  • I'm good until about 130pm then I'm nauseas the rest of the night! The diclegis helps if I take the full dose regularly but it takes a couple days to build up
  • "Morning" is the best joke I've heard all day. It's really any time. At least, for most people I know it's been like that. My nauseousness has significantly reduced on the last week or so (I'm currently at 11 weeks). I would expect that most of us should be lucky to have it end soon, just have to roide it out.
  • I always feel great when I wake up. I think to myself "today is going to be a great day!" then by about 4 or 5pm I can't imagine eating anything. And then by about 9 I just give up and go to bed because I know it will be better in the morning.

I am thankful that I don't have to live with it 24/7 at least!
  • So, I posted this on another MS thread a minute ago but thought it was worth mentioning here as well. Of course, before you take meds, talk with your doc... but with my first pregnancy I had severe reflux. I have a different doc this time around and she suspects my nausea (which was all day and worst in the evenings) was partially due to reflux, not just the typical hormonal morning sickness. So, I'm taking diclegis regularly and have added in a Pepcid in the afternoon when I take the diclegis. I've been doing that routine for 4 days now, and yesterday and today have been remarkably better. Of course it could be timing, since I'm getting close to 12 weeks, but with my first I was sick up until 5 months and I started off sicker this time around. Anyway, hopefully my situation will help someone else!
  • Yup, the food aversion is an all day thing but the projectile vomiting only comes to visit me in the evenings.
