  • Mine was a gush. Thankfully I was in bed.

    Just keep swimming.

  • @squishy0511 they broke my water in the hospital and it was a huge gush but I was laying in the bed. It just kept gushing out until I had my c section. BUT, they told me that I had a lot of fluid and I drank a ton of water last time I was pregnant. I would assume that would have something to do with whether it was a gush or just a drip. I may be wrong though.
  • I'm afraid to have a panic attack during labor and feeling I can't breath. In general I'm just scared of dying because of some movies I have watch.
  • I'm afraid of pooping, my water breaking all over my chair at work, or in front of my coworker's (like is it really a gush? That would be pretty embarrassing trying to clean an upholstered chair at work!)
Mine broke while I was in bed but it was more like I was peeing myself than a gush

    I'm scared of dying too.
  • I was also terrified of pooping while pushing when I had my first. Then I was promised that it really doesn't happen that often. And if it does, the nurses are used to it and will have it cleaned up before you or hubby even know it happened. :)
  • @Mrsrundell , I don't know how all the hospitals are, but at ours, our babies were never out of our sight. IF baby had to be taken away from me for any reason, Hubby went with. You don't HAVE to use the nursery.  (Unless you have a c section... I don't know how that works) either way, they are very very careful with matching bracelets.

I'm so glad I'm not the only vein one afraid of my face swelling and looking like a bloated toad in pictures! Lol seriously does anyone know why that happens? Is it from pushing?

I'm also afraid of the pain and being turned away if there are already too many women in labor. My doctor yesterday told me they had to send women back home who weren't really "in labor" because they didn't have any room  :|

Oh crap really? I would cry if our hospital sent me back home because they are full. I'd be like, listen here, I work here and you guys better set me up in ER and send the anethesiologist down here stat!

  • I'm afraid of having the baby at home, and that if I get to the hospital I won't have time for an epidural. But I don't know if it's irrational because my first two were 3.5 hours and 3 hours of labor.
