This is a shout out to whoever decided to mess with the spread sheet. I just want to thank you for screwing up the product of many hours spent updating information and trying to keep everything accurate. I'm pretty sure it is too far gone for me to fix it so yeah. You're awesome
Whoa--just looked, and YEAH it's totally messed up! Aw man...that is so uncool. So sorry that happened, @fishwife799 ...you worked so hard on that and some jerk (prob a rando) came along and effed it all up.
ETA: I feel like it would have taken some time to screw it up as badly as it is...who has that kind of time? How fucking petty can you be to do that? And really, who thinks its a good idea to piss off a bunch of ladies in the 3rd tri?! Not so smart, me thinks...

I probably could fix it, but it would take so much time to go back and find people's accurate due dates and such. I have two kids man. It was fine doing it as it slowly trickled in but this would just be too much. I locked so nobody can mess it up anymore.
Booo! I opened it and, at first, didn't think it was messed up but then I realized it was super screwy as I looked more. Is there a way to revert it to a previous date's version?

Possibly. I don't know enough about google sheets to do it though. Off to google I go!
I am not worthy of you @Sgoldberg247! You are a goddess!! I was able to look at the edit history and restore it to the last time that I edited it myself!! I could kiss you

D'awwww. If it makes you feel better, I only thought of it because I had to restore my wedding spreadsheet (guests, addresses, expenses, table assignments, gifts received, whether thank yous were or weren't sent, basically everything wedding in one massive multisheet excel document) after it got corrupted a week before the wedding. I knew Microsoft had the feature, its good to know that Google does too!

If you can see the edit history, can you see who screwed it up?

Looks like they did it anonymously. If a Google doc is public (or editable by anyone with the link), you don't necessarily have to be signed into any kind of account to edit it.
I have to pretend this is a Google glitch. I don't know if I could live in a world where someone is a big enough asshole to wreck a spreadsheet used by a bunch of pregnant broads.

Did you lock it now? What did this person do to it?
I locked it so nobody but me can edit it, it's view only now. Basically they locked the due dates row and then arranged the sheet alphabetically by username so everything but the dates moved. Therefore everyone's due date was off. Then when I initially went back in I rearranged not knowing that it was already messed up and made it worse. It would have taken me forever to fix it but I was able to restore it.
Yes, revision history shows edits and who did it if they had to be logged in. On a public doc, log in isn't required. I use that with my students all the time. Glad you were able to recover a previous version. I bet it was probably some newb who got tater totted and threw a temper tantrum.
If they locked the due dates and then tried to sort, it also sounds like it could have been someone who just didn't know what they were doing, tried to look for their own name and just f*ked everything up unintentionally (then ran scared when they realized what they'd done). I've seen it happen in my own organization with spreadsheets that should be super straightforward but get accidentally destroyed beyond recognition by well-meaning knuckleheads who just can't do spreadsheet.
Re: Shout out
Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
