Carpet cleaning in nursery

What is the best non-toxic products to use on the nursery's carpet, we have just moved into a new house and I cant even sit on the floor, the dust or whatever it is makes it difficult to breath.

Will the vinegar and water help for this? Is there something else I can try?

Baby is due in less than a month! What do can I do?

You can get it professionally steam cleaned with no chemicals.  Just say no to the deodorizers.

You can also make a powder of baking soda and lavender essential oil, sprinkle that on the carpet, let it sit and then vacuum it up.
