Re: Weekly health & fitness check-in (4/11)
Fitness goal? Well I was going to go to yoga tonight but I feel miserable today. I have a headache which caused me to throw up the Tylenol that I took this morning. I don’t want to take anymore because I’m not sure is any actually stayed down. I will aim to do yoga at home a couple of nights and walk 10,000 steps every day.
Health goal? Actually eat dinner.
Challenges you’re facing this week? I truly feel better if I workout, do some yoga, and eat well. The longer I go without being active in the evenings, the harder it is to start back up.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? Waffles, fruit, and bacon! Although during the week I tend to eat a yogurt and granola bar, or whatever is quick and on-the-go.
Fitness goal?
I got my treadmill this weekend! I want to hang out on it for 45 minutes/day and also incorporate some leg and butt exercises.
Health goal?
Stay away from sugar and take out! My cravings are out of control and it's all I can think about/dream about.
Challenges you’re facing this week?
Still exhausted all the time, but trying to get into a routine of working out regularly.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?
Sweet potato hash with an over easy egg on top and a side of avocado

Fitness goal? Prenatal yoga (at home) in the morning every day this week! I started on Friday and it's felt so good to stretch everything even though all of the moves are really hard for me right now because I'm so tight!
Health goal? Continue eating more fruits and veggies each day. No eating out this week (we ordered Chinese on Saturday and went out to eat with friends yesterday)
Challenges you’re facing this week? Coming up with ideas for lunch and dinner! And dealing with my sciatic nerve pain and RLP. Although the yoga seems to be helping.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? I hate eating in the morning, although now I'm starving all the time haha I still have a hard time finding anything appetizing in the morning so usually just toast. But my favorite breakfast foods are French toast and eggs with a side of bacon or ham! Ooh and crepes Omgosh now I want a crepe!!
Health goal: Watch out for cravings. I've been indulging far too many cravings and I'm up 6lb and I feel like a disgusting blob.
Challenges: I am super stressed out because of health stuff and I'm terrible about stress eating.
GTKY: Lately, eggs. I scramble them with salsa and a pinch of shredded cheese and eat them with an English muffin.
Fitness goal? Actually workout. Now that the crushing fatigue has passed, I don't have excuses anymore. The amount of strength I've already lost is embarrassing.
Health goal? Eat more protein. It's been carb-city over here.
Challenges you’re facing this week? Pelvic girdle pain, mostly posterior and pubic symph. No, its not RLP... I've been thinking of asking my doctor for a PT referral at my next visit.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? Pre-pregnancy: overnight oats with protein powder. Now, if I have time I enjoy eggs and toast or cereal.
Fitness goal? Gym 5 days this week
Health goal? Give up the sweets!
Challenges you’re facing this week? I'm an all or nothing person so I have to give all sweets up. But of course that's all I crave! Got to make it 3-4 days and then it gets better.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? Egg white omelet with cheese
Fitness goal? Talk to my doctor about adding light weights to my routine. I wanted to start before I got pregnant but I didn't and I don't want to wait another 6 months.
Health goal? Stop eating junk food just because it's there.
Challenges you’re facing this week? My parents are in town and they have a very unhealthy diet. When they visit, the go to the store and buy a bunch of food even though I have a meal plan. Even though I'm an adult, I tend to slip into bad habits (eating way too much candy and cheese) when they're around. And, on a side rant, they keep trying to give my two year-old meat (I'm a vegetarian but I made the mistake of telling my parents that we weren't going to force our child to be vegetarian once he got old enough to decide for himself, so now my mom thinks it's okay to give him whatever she's eating) and candy. "Why can't he have this Kit Kat?" Because, Mom, he doesn't need sugar all day. He had a delicious fancy mini cupcake an hour ago. That's enough for one day.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? A restaurant we go to for brunch has the best roasted potatoes I've ever eaten. I could eat nothing but those potatoes every day for breakfast. (At home, though, we usually have scrambled eggs or steel cut oatmeal.)
