  • I spent all misting helping in my sins preschool classroom, and while I was gone dh let dd nap in the car, so now she won't take her regular nap and I NEED this kid to sleep. Pluss, while we were out of town last weekend SIL finished the last of my secret ice cream I hid in the back of the freezer, so now I have no sweet treat to sneak on long days like today.
Isn't it time for her to MOVE OUT ALREADY?!?

Yeah! I thought she had an April 1st deadline? Unless that was just wishful thinking for you on my part and I totally made that up.
That's what dh told me before she arrived, but he told her May 1st. She looked at apartments yesterday, and should hear back from a FT job today. Fingers crossed

I have another bitch for today- sleep. I forgot how exhausting the third tri is. It's not that whole "building a baby" thing now...it's the fact that I'm awake every 48 minutes to shift or pee. It's prepping me for the NB stage again, right?
This. I am so utterly exhausted. Sleep? Where are you, you sneaky punk? Get back here!!
  • @parsonsperson Yup, said it to me in front of like 4 other people too... I am starting to hate people.

As for those wish lists/those kids... jeez! Talk about entitled! I don't blame you for being annoyed... I'd probably go against the wish list entirely just to prove a point but then again I'm feeling pretty bitchy today.

@MsBeachNJ: Freaking rude! Idiot. Total idiot.

@parsonsperson: Eff that nonsense. No, you do not send out a wishlist of bday gifts for your child ever, let alone for your high school and college-aged kids!! The only scenario where I think it's cool for a parent to send out a reasonable and polite list is if it's for a young child to a person who specifically asked. Otherwise, nope, jerk move. For your teenagers?! How embarrassing. I'd refuse protocol entirely and give them each something small that wasn't on the list. Asshats.
  •  @crdo @ahernandez16  @MsBeachNJ  @MamaNicoleof3 THANK YOU guys so much--those are all my feelings exactly. Ridiculous. God, it feels good to have people recognize that as the complete and utter bullshit that it is.

Come to think of it, I change my initially stated position on the teenager bday list thing. Wouldn't buy a blasted thing. Period.
  • Me neither. That's just utter nonsense. Maybe if they are giving out super awesome party favors. But still, super lame.
  • Oldest DD turns 15 tomorrow. H picked her up from school early to take her downtown for the opening day home game and street festival for our local baseball team. Meanwhile, I'm stuck at work with zero baseball game snacks.

***This QB obviously doesn't realize that I am in a full on rage today***

I walked to the street festival from my office at lunch today hoping that delicious food truck food would drown my irritations and discovered that the trucks wouldn't be there until 2:00. This did not help my mood.

Basically I just hate everything today and I am very unpleasant to be around. Buckle up for this long bitchfest:

This morning started with me washing my face with hair conditioner in the shower as a sign that I was not going to be running on all cylinders. I pulled some maternity slacks that I purchased at the JBF sale last week out of the dryer for work. I had no concerns about them fitting when I bought them because I already have the same pair in a different color in a large. When I put them on this morning as I was leaving (already late for work) they were super tight. I figured that it was because they were fresh from the dryer and that they would stretch-they won't because someone hung them in the wrong section at the sale and they are a medium and fit like a SMEDIUM. I have lost all blood flow to my vagina. I got in my car only to discover that I was out of gas. I stopped at a gas station about a third of the way to work  to fill up only to discover that the door covering my gas cap would not open. I tried to pry it and it wouldn't work. I ended up having to drive home to let H look at it. As soon as I got home and he tried it, it worked like a charm. I threw a tiny hissy fit and got back in my car to try again. I drive to the same station and try again- the damn thing is STUCK AGAIN!! I finally discover that apparently that little door locks when my actual car doors are locked. I have recently started being super careful about locking my doors when I gas up because of the reports of people stealing purses from the passenger side while you are pumping. I guess in the past I was locking my door after I started pumping and that's why this didn't happen before.Anyways I felt stupid and I was late for work. Now everything about work is annoying me.
  • @MeganF08 ouch, rough day! Sounds like you need the couch & some ice cream!

    And tots!
  • @MsBeachNJ  someone seriously said that to you? I would cut a bitch. I'm so sorry you had to hear that.

Mine is a run-on sentence.  I apologize in advance. But anyway, my rant is about my husband's cousins, who throw a joint birthday party for their high school and college-age kids each year and send out lengthy wish-lists for both of them that list out all the things they want for their birthdays, and the list goes so far as to stipulate that we should not purchase any CDs from the lists from Wal-Mart, we should remember to include gift receipts, and we should email the whole group to let everyone know what we've purchased so there are no repeat gifts. Way to raise your kids to be a couple of entitled asshats.
WOW. are you kidding me!? This type of crap for ANY birthday or gift-giving occasion is flame-worthy. Way to turn a nice gesture into a joyless transaction that everyone resents your dumb ass for.
  • @MeganF08 They keep snapchatting me all of the awesome shit they're doing. I was wallowing in my piss pants so hard earlier that I hoped it would rain on their sweet little daddy-daughter parade. Then I cried in the office bathroom for a minute because I'm a dick.

And I do that with my gas door thingy EVERY TIME I PUT GAS IN MY CAR.

  • @colesmom33- the lack of personal responsibility now is absolutely ridiculous. My deadbeat douchecopter of a FIL has been in and out of prison my H's entire life and EVERYTHING is someone else's fault. Sadly, my SILs have the same attitude. It's awful.
  • @MamaNicoleof3 It's so true!  As long as they can blame someone else, they don't have to take any responsibility for their own behavior.  It's just so sad when they have kids that are affected so much by their behavior!  I have so many pregnant clients right now, its so sad!!

My brother is similar, I'm constantly surprised that we're related because we're so different.  Failed out of college?  Not my fault, the teacher didn't like me and failed me on purpose.  Didn't finish the online certification to become a trainer at the gym?  Not my fault, I had too much to do with my 2 community college classes and my girlfriend is going to help me do it next semester anyways (which didn't happen).  House messed up from a party while my parents were on vacation?  Not my fault, I didn't invite them, someone else did.  I honestly don't know how we were raised in the same house by the same people...

@sdLindenberg have you tried calling them yet? I find USAA's call center to be very helpful. I've never used them for credit stuff before though.
I have used them for late fees on CCs and had penalties waved if I can pay in full. I had a C account I forgot was open and since I don't get paper statements either didn't notice I owed $20. Once I realized it, there was over $100 in late fees. The call center took care of it no problems.

  • Oh, and the ads are now on the app. Is it time for the FB group yet?
They're inbetween posts on the mobile site too and it's driving me nuts! I'm about ready to be done with the bump.

  • Mine is my renovation. It's behind schedule, and we just found out that the carpet we chose is special order and won't be ready for 7-10 days. Of course, they only told us this after my husband called for an update - not when we chose it, or when they submitted the order. Also, they gave us paperwork saying they guarantee installation 3 days after they measure everything. But clearly not for special orders. I'm pissed because if we had known we would've chosen a different carpet, or gone with another supplier. We can't do anything until the carpet is installed (since the furniture can't be in the rooms), the rest of the house is a disaster with stuff stored in every nook and cranny, drywall dust everywhere, cleaning to finish, painting to finish. Due to all this, my two year old can't be in the house, so she's with my parents for the week. I'm having a hard time with this - emotional pregnant woman can't handle being away from my baby girl. Just stressed.

Ugh. I hear you on the reno nonsense. SO frustrating to be in limbo.
  • Yeah. The ads on the app have to go. Plus, for some reason there was a glitch and for awhile today I would try to check the boards but I kept getting redirected randomly to a "you're a winner" spam website.
