@mrsbinpa Just remember it is normal for symptoms to vary day by day. I know easier said than done. Hang in there and FX for a good appointment on Friday!
@courtneykline I got a positive test about 4 months after my loss. We avoided right after the loss until my first period. Then we were NTNP for one cycle and then actively tried for 3 cycles. Not sure if you know but there is a TTC After Loss board that is super supportive, also the TTGP board is great as well.
Hang in there @MrsBinPA! I have a lot of insomnia problems when I'm stressed (and sometimes get into a full blown panic). The only thing that calms me down in the middle of the night is thinking "what can I do about it right now?" because the answer is always nothing.
Sending good thoughts your way for your appointment on Friday!
@MrsBinPA my symptoms this time have been so so different than they were with my loss. They're also pretty mild this time, come and go, and I've had some spotting and it all freaks me out. Baby has been okay at each appointment, and is still growing despite my worst fears jumping into my head every time my boobs "feel normal". I've been going in for weekly scans just to check on growth since an MMC sounds like my worst nightmare (I would rather know sooner than later if something is going wrong). With all the infections and spotting that I've had in the 4.5 short weeks I've known I'm pregnant, my doctor's office has been amenable to seeing me weekly. Is that something you could ask for? I think it definitely helps me and my husband feel better about the pregnancy in general. *hugs!*
@MissAmeliaPond the RE is seeing me weekly. This week it is 8 days because both DH and the RE are unavailable tomorrow so I have to wait until Friday. I think I am being an extra special snowflake/BSC because both my losses were in week 6. The first happened spontaneously and the second one I went back and there was no development from the prior week and barely any beta rise. Both times I had a heartbeat seen days before or in the week prior to the loss. Nothing about this time has been the same as those, but it's just super hard to shake this dark cloud feeling.
I feel like a whiner & alarmist which makes it even worse!
@MrsBinPA Anyone can feel free to flame me for this, but I feel like us PGALs are entitled to be speshul snowflakes - especially around loss milestones. I've been extra speshul - we went to urgent care last night for my yeast infection/oral thrush dx because I didn't want to wait for my regular doctor's first appointment next Monday. I've also been talking to my ob's office about my symptoms and she's been saying "everything sounds normal", and I didn't agree with her, so we went to urgent care. I'm also mad that she didn't dx the yeast infection when we saw her on Friday. I'm sorry you're having a tough time. PGAL is so hard. I hope you have a good appointment on Friday!
Sorry you had a rough night @MrsBinPA I'm glad your REis following you closely, that must give you peace of mind a bit at least! My symptoms have been dfairly mild as well, and I feel like my sore boobs went away around week 7 or 8, if that makes you feel any better!
@MrsBinPA My symptoms have come and gone quite a lot with this one. I know how worrying it is, though! The incredible boob soreness stopped around week 8 with me as well. It's so hard dealing with these decidedly unreassuring things after having experienced loss.

@MrsBinPA I'm right there with you today! Today is my loss milestone. Last night I had a dream that I was at the Ob-Gyn and was told that my baby had no heartbeat. Today, I'm desparately searching for all and any symptom. My symptoms have been few and far between since week 5. I've had slight nausea in the am when I take my Synthroid and some foods and smells disgust me. Sometimes I'm really tired. Other times I'm up till midnight. That is it. My boobs stopped hurting at 5 weeks and my ultrasounds were great at 6+2 and 7+1. My Dr is making me wait 2 weeks between appointments and that's only because she's so confident things are going well. So I keep telling myself that if my Dr had confidence, I should have it too. It doesn't change the fact that Im dealing some very intense PTSD and I've only had one loss!!! Hang in there and try to distract yourself until you next appointment. Like PP said, you can't do anything about it now,
@MrsBinPA - I know the feeling, kind of bass-akwards though. My boobs JUST started getting sore day before yesterday, but up until then it was only the nausea that I could hang onto. So much easier said than done, but try to stay calm and positive until Friday.
@chloe97 - You're going to fly right through today and it will be tomorrow, past your milestone, before you know it. So thrilled and happy for you!
I'm in such a different boat than all of your with these first tri previous losses. I keep feeling like the impending doom is out there, and unavoidable. I *think* after I see my perinatologist around 13w I may feel better? I SO wish that I just had signs of an incompetent cervix, so I could blame my pPROM on that, get a cerclage at 12w and move forward with more confidence.
The unknown is just the worst!
Me: 31, DH: 31 Married: September 2012 Began TTC: September 2015 BFP #1: 10/12/16, EDD: 06/23/15, (pPROM, 16 wks + emergency D&E 12/31/15) BFP #2: 03/09/16, EDD: 11/16/16
Thanks @comealongponds and @lilwonder! I should note that the baby stopped growing st 8+3 (which is today for me), but I found out at 10. So I have a little over a week to go to breathe that sigh of relief, though a great u/s Monday would certainly help.
Right after I wrote that last post, I ended up almost wrenching in my garbage can. At no other time in my life, have I ever been so thankful for nausea! It's definitely not every day though and I do wonder how much of a role that Synthroid + progesterone are playing!!
@MrsBinPA- PGAL feelings are so tough. I'm glad that you get to see your RE on Friday and I hope you can get some reassurance that things are still going well in there. My symptoms were pretty mild until weeks 8 & 9, since then they have come and gone.
Next milestone/appointment? First appointment with OB pending on 4/18.
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I'm still in limbo, waiting for confirmation that my pregnancy is going okay or not. No blood work, no tests, no ultrasound, no nothing so far. Just lots of nausea to give me hope. 10 weeks was my loss milestone, but it was also my birthday, so I had cake and a sip of champagne and toasted a new year with new beginnings. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I'll hear a heartbeat on Monday!
Questions? Has anyone else this far along not seen a doctor yet?
GTKY: What is your favorite TV show (current and/or no longer airing)? Arrested Development.
@MrsBinPA I hope your day gets better, PGAL causes such weird feelings and emotions, they sometimes aren't logical but it's the nature of the beast I guess. I hope your appointment Friday takes some of the stress away!!
@chloe97 I'm thinking of you! Hang in there the next few days girl! I'm glad you almost threw up lol.
Awesome Kid #1: Born September 2013! Awesome Kid #2: Due November 2016!
@MissAmeliaPond I'm sorry about the thrush. That is just the pits! Do you have disgusting oral rinse to use on it? My Mom had it after she had some surgical complications about a year and a half ago and I remember how much she hated the medicine for it!
@aquasocks I had brown spotting and took a sick day and stayed on the couch all day too.
@MrsBinPA that oral rinse for the thrush can be teratogenic when ingested, so if I fill the script for that, I'll have to rinse and spit (directions are to rinse and swallow). But even that feels kind of risky to me. For now I'm just taking probiotics, eating yogurt, and rinsing/gargling with salt water. I don't think the salt water is that bad. I'm supposed to pick up a Rx for Miconazole 7 suppositories for the yeast infection, but I'm hesitant to use that in first tri... I wish my body would just figure it out and be healthy!

@lilwonder I kind of feel that way too with my 16 week loss, though we aren't sure what caused it. That has to be scary now knowing what caused the membrane rupture :-/. FX you are able to relax after seeing the perinatologist!!
Weeks: 9w 5d
Next milestone/appointment? we see MFM specialist on 4/27 for the Kell antibodies, but hopefully before that my OB will order blood work for my husband to determine if he's Kell positive or negative.
Rant/Rave/Anything else: I'm late posting this week. Just been too stressed to able to think and type straight. Wish I could respond personally to you all, but know that I'm commiserating along with you all! Especially with those with minimal or disappearing symptoms, mine have never moved beyond fatigue, sore boobs occasionally, and rare bouts with queasiness. Best of luck to all with appointments and milestones, I say a little pray for you each when I read your posts.
Questions? none
GTKY: What is your favorite TV show (current and/or no longer airing)? Doctor Who is definitely first!! I also really like Parks and Rec (it's especially fun since I'm an Indiana native) and Supernatural.

@lilwonder No, we were never given a reason. I didn't have any cramping or bleeding, just couldn't find the heartbeat at 16 weeks. The only testing we did was on the placenta and it was fine, so we were kind of assuming it was a chromosome issue. Originally we weren't doing anything different. But now I have anti-Kell antibodies so we're going to see a MFM specialist. My OB is fairly sure the sensitization happened after, but she said the late loss "complicates" matters.

Update: Had my appointment this morning. RE was out for a few days this week at a conference so the office was a mad house. Took FOR-EV-ER!
The dating on the US is behind, but we could see the HB. They didn't measure the rate (or at least didn't tell us what it was). The RE is not overly concerned about it being behind. He indicated that the progress since last week seemed appropriate. Also that my retroverted/angled ute is still making it super hard to scan. That basically we have a top of head view rather than the side. I go back next Friday. He said that look should tell us more & to relax and try not to worry.
I'll take this as all good news for so far. Not out of the woods, but progress! Thanks for all the support ladies.
