Post c-section bleeding

I'm ~4 wks post c-section & still have the Lochia bleeding.  I understand that it can last to 6 wks, but is it normal to go from red to brown to yellow and then for the red/brown to return again on and off?  It's not heavy at all, just a bit per day & no bad smell, but I'm just concerned that it went back to red.  Anyone have experience with this?

I didn't have a csection but I know that is very normal for a vaginal delivery. I wasn't under the impression that the bleeding was much different for a csection.

I've had both vaginal and c-section deliveries and this was my experience both times. It sounds normal to me.

Sounds like the norm to me. I had a csection and I've had the same. Remeber you can have your period can start back up too so it might be that too

I'm almost 6 weeks out from my c section and also experience intermittent bleeding that changes in volume/ color.

I'm 3.5 weeks post op and I noticed this the other day too. My bleeding has been very dark/brown and the other day was randomly spotting bright red. Went right back though. It almost worried me but I'm tired of being worried about everything so I'm just assuming it's normal

I had a vbac.  So I can tell you the bleeding lasted longer and was heavier for the c-section.  Seems normal!

5 weeks post c section today and I am still bleeding various colors and amounts every day.

I'm 5 weeks post c-section - it changes back and forth as the uterus contracts/shrinks back down.

I've only delivered vaginally, but since I've always read that pp-bleadings are the same anyway it sounds normal to me. Remember the placenta has left quite a big sore in there that will bleed on and off some after birth while the uterus shrinks back to normal size. If the bleeding gets very heavy (filling a pad in the hour) and/or big clots appear then you should call your doc and get checked out.

I've had this with all of mine.... and this is baby #5
 It does seem this time to be accompanied by a hormonal odor.... like not an infection odor and u can't really describe it but man can I smell it! Ugh
