Current symptoms? same food aversions, slow digestion, loving naps, feeling good (and not pregnant) which is a mind trip.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Not feeling pregnant is raising my anxiety level.. Also realizing I'm going to have to make some kind of fb announcement (didn't want to) because I do want to post things to my DH's family in Scotland/England and we share stuff through fb.. so I rather head everyone off with one announcement post versus confirming that I am pregnant with random posts that others or myself make on fb. I rather be in control of what gets out and when I say it, although I need to craft my statement this week. I have until 4/15.

We are doing a pirate / Peter Pan themed room with a modern take. I'll be doing a lot of DIY/Etsy stuff for it. No store bought complete sets for the baby.

Tired, once-a-day crying spells, dizziness, rlp, constipation, heartburn, forgetfulness

When do people usually have baby showers? My SIL told me to start thinking of what I want but it seems so far away! I tend not to plan far ahead so maybe she just knows I'd put it all off...

I'm pretty indecisive and starting with a pretty blank canvas but getting some ideas from potential registry items....I was also thinking a pirate theme! Or cliche safari, twinkle twinkle, sunshine, or who knows....saw this little table at Target and not sure what it means but I loved it for some reason!
Symptoms: almost daily nosebleeds, mostly feeling better except one random day of vomiting so intense it burst blood vessels all around my eyes! But my favorite part is my bump - it's definitely here and growing. So happy!!
Raves: My parents are visiting this wrrk and that's really nice. Lots of baby stuff!!
Nursery: we are not sure how long baby boy might hang around in our room with the cosleeper or something, so we weren't sure when it was practical to give him his own room. But it is really fun to think about nursery ideas. We live near the redwood forest in California and I really love some kind of Woodland theme

Morning sickness as always, and my vertigo decided to make an appearance this week. That was fun. My appetite is finally starting to come back!

Anyone have tips for helping siblings get used to the idea of new babies? My 3 year old son has decided he doesn't want to be a big brother, he wants to be a baby still. He's regressed in potty training too. He's having a hard time right now.

I'm not sure but thinking more neutral, mostly gray and white with blue/turquoise accents for our boy/boys and pink/coral accents if the second baby is a girl. (We know we're having at least one boy based on the results of our Informaseq.)
Current symptoms? Major exhaustion, minor headaches, food aversions, but no more nausea.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I feel so behind in household chores, but I guess that is normal. My husband is definitely helping out more around the house, but I have just been tired. Today we started cleaning out the study for the baby room, so the GTKY question is perfect!!
GTKY: Tell us about what your new baby's room will look like (bonus for pictures!) We were holding onto a lot of "stuff" from our wedding. Today we decided to go through it, and ended up parting with a lot of it. Yay!! We haven't really thought of what we want the baby's room to look like yet, but we are cleaning out the closet in there to make room for all of the baby stuff, so that's a start. I think once we find out the sex of the baby, it will be a lot easier to plan what it will look like.

Current symptoms? Feeling much better - nausea has subsided and I'm getting my appetite back. Now I'm just having a lot of RLP - even laughing feels like an ab workout.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I have my NT scan next week and I am pretty excited for that.
GTKY: Tell us about what your new baby's room will look like (bonus for pictures!) Seriously considering a Harry Potter theme! It will be lots of Etsy/DIY which I am excited about. Right now I'm just considering what route to go with color scheme - all the house colors seem too gendered or bold.

If it's a boy teal/brown theme, if it's a girl I'm definitely going to paint the room pink. I have two boys now so we will see!
Current symptoms: still nausea and food aversions, threw up last night for no reason. Metallic taste in mouth. Tired and peeing constantly.
R/R/Q: actually nothing at the moment. I think DD has another ear infection and I got about 2 hours of sleep last night. Exhausted and I have a majorly busy week so stressed about when I'm gonna get her to the docs and how to manage it all.
GTKY: We're moving DD to a new room and giving baby her nursery so decor will stay the name (minus the name on the wall). Team Green both times and we have a Dr Seuss nursery that is super cute if i say so myself. She's sleeping now but I'll have to take a pic and post at another time.

3. Energy levels rise and fall...was doing great the past week but hardly getting off the couch this weekend! Constipation finally starting to subside but bloating is still in full force! I am starting to get rest/sleepless at night as I settle in to the 2nd trimester because I'm getting paranoid about subconsciously rolling onto my back
4. I'm not girly at all, was mostly a tom-boy growing up so always knew I'd stray from the typical pink color scheme for a baby girl. Our nursery will be peach, gray, mint, and cream with gold accents. It does make the decorating a bit more challenging though!

First time with RLP this morning, but no morning sickness today. I assume it'll come back, but hopefully I'm wrong.

Getting impatient for my anatomy scan! Hopefully my doctor will set it up at my appointment this week! I haven't been tempted to do an early one yet. Hopefully the urge will stay away next week when I'm far enough along to go.

Our nursery will be Star Wars. Hubby bought my son and I red lightsabers off Groupon about a year ago cause he thought they were small nightlights and that it would be funny. When they came and we saw they were huge wall-mounted things, they got thrown into a closet. That inspired the idea. But hubby felt we needed Jedi ones, so he went back and ordered two blue ones! Lol. So now the baby will have four. The room will be blue and grey. If it's a girl, I'll probably get some things with Rey on it. Otherwise I'll probably keep it original trilogy.
Current symptoms? Still vomiting first thing in the morning, but other symptoms have subsided, which makes me nervous. Glad for my doctor appointment today to ease those nerves.

GTKY: Tell us about what your new baby's room will look like (bonus for pictures!) We are going with an antique white, pale pink, and gold room theme. I know I want gold Angel wings somewhere, and some sort of gold glitter. Still trying to figure it all out.
Current symptoms? Still nauseous. Still exhausted. Now having trouble peeing during the night.
Rants/Raves/Questions? So the Zofran works great, but it makes me constipated as hell. I literally haven't pooped in days; it's so uncomfortable. I'm now trying to just suck up the nausea again instead of taking it. And I've also had to straight cath myself at night to drain my bladder for the past two nights, thanks to this lovely retroverted uterus. (For those not in the know, early on, a retroverted uterus sits on the urethra and makes it impossible to pass urine after lying down for any stretch of time.) So that's my life right now.
GTKY: Tell us about what your new baby's room will look like (bonus for pictures!) I honestly don't know. We bought a bedding set, but I doubt we're painting the walls or anything. We plan to move after the baby is born and I don't feel like repainting to sell, so we're just going to leave the walls a neutral beige.

We're planning on a beach/ocean type theme but nothing too over the top. Gonna try to stay away from overwhelming pink. I found this mobile on Etsy & I feel I must have it! (I REALLY need stay off Etsy!)
