Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Sunday

Re: TWW Sunday

  • Month/Cycle: 3

    Cd/DPO: 24/6

    Timing: -2

Testing: On the 16th if I can hold out.

R/R/CS: This is my very first time actually ovulating. It is so surreal. I am waiting to get a low temp so that my FF will tell me "just kidding, you didn't actually ovulate." I am floating through the apartment kind of in a daze, trying not to get my hopes up because it's not guaranteed just because I ovulated once. But there is this hope that wasn't there before. Yes, you can ovulate. You can ovulate. You can. You! ^___^

And commence the symptom spotting. :-P I have had cramps down low, nausea and fatigue. But that could be anything! lol

GTKY: What significance does your name and your profile picture have to you? Do they mean anything or show anything special?
My name comes from a time when my imagination was wild, and every day I was writing stories. It is the name of a character I created that is all the best qualities of myself, and pretty much who I'd like to be. The picture is just a random picture of me that I didn't feel ugly in.

  • @kd0202 thanks for the help, had to do it through my PC since it wouldn't work on the phone, but I got there in the end.
  • @kd0202I have a 10-11 day LP and my PCP, OB and RE were not concerned about that. Cycle 1 off bcp I had an 8 day Lp, next cycle it was 9 days before settling in at 10-11 days in subsequent cycles. It can take up to 6 months to regulate after bcp, so I wouldn't worry yet. Temping will help confirm your LP length.
  • Hey ladies. I've been MIA because I'm in New Orleans at a bachelorette party with 10 other girls. I wanted to pop in because I need people who like science.

Three of the girls have started their periods early (from 2 days to 8 days early). I'm 3 DPO and of course I'm cramping. I think it's in my mind because I know about LP. My question is, does anyone have any knowledge about menstrual synchronization?

@wineo929 IF menstrual synchrony is an actual thing, I'm pretty sure it happens over the course of several months in close proximity with other ladies.

However in science terms - nothing has been proven for this to be anything more than a myth and when studies were conducted many flaws were found in the theory. Or synchrony was not found.

I don't think you should worry too much, and maybe tell your friends..you're regular till you're not :)

ETA: I hope you're having fun in New Orleans!

*tw second line- probably dye run*
Ok weird question, has anyone ever had dye run off a Wondfo? I lined mine up this morning from the last few days when I took it, and it looked negative, separated them, went about my day, came back and now there is a legit 2 lines on the one from today...... I just took another test, but it was on not even an hour hold.... So doubt I will turn it, the other one is really faint. I feel like my heart is going to break, I was having a tough ttc day anyway and now this to mess with my heart. I am stupid to have lined them up......

  • @Zoey1019  It's probably an evap line. Those tend to happen if you wait too long. That's why it's not recommended to look at them after the time limit.

@Zoey1019, I'm sorry lady. HPTs can be so cruel...it should be illegal for them to have any kind of gray area where you're not sure what the results are. Not sure how you'd enforce it...I'll have to get to work on that ;)

Cd/DPO: CD1 (after a 32 day cycle! ugh) heading on over to WTO

    Timing:

    Testing:

    R/R/CS:**TW DD**
We just got back home from competition weekend. She pulled a high gold score! She also placed 8th out of 17 and got a special judges choice award! It was a great weekend away. Except for waking up to AF this morning. This was an unusually long cycle.

GTKY: What significance does your name and your profile picture have to you? My photo is over the bay on the way to Annapolis. It was a beautiful morning on the way to do the dance mom thing. Also my name is because I am a photographer and shoot with Canon.

  • Month/Cycle: 5 / 3 ttcal

    Cd/DPO: 21/7? Just a guess

Timing: great if my estimate is correct

Testing: probably Tuesday because I'm a glutton for punishment

R/R/CS: so I promised I wasn't going to SS this cycle because I took the month off from charting and temping and opk's. But here I am at what I think is 7dpo with heavy creamy cm, uterine twinges, a stuffy nose, gas.... And I'm over here like

GTKY: What significance does your name and your profile picture have to you? Do they mean anything or show anything special?

I've had this since I joined the knot in 2004? It's a weird amalgamation of my maiden name. I've thought about changing it. My avatar is a photo of me and my girls!

    Congrats, @sheshae!

    Month/Cycle: 7

     Cd/DPO: 29/11 or 9

     Timing: twice in fertile window

Testing: Big Effing Negatives all around

R/R/CS: The symptom spotting is INSANE. I know that I have a negative pregnancy test. I know that I am not experiencing pregnancy symptoms. And yet the bloat, nausea, cramps....Either my Wondfos are false negatives from testing too early and I AM knocked up (highly unlikely) or I am gearing up for the worst AF ever (much more likely). I keep holding on to the fact that maybe I actually O'ed two days later than fertility friend thinks, lol.

GTKY: Um, well, I was changing my username from what I had something like two years ago, and I was watching Once Upon a Time at the same time. So...this happened! I am not even really a fan, lol, I just liked Season One and when I binge a show I must watch THE WHOLE THING. Even seasons about redonkulous Elsa from Frozen.

Congrats to the ladies with BFP!

    ****Question***
Soo I'm out as of this morning. Started spotting last night and woke up to full blown AF. Disappointing but only our first cycle trying so not too surprising. The thing is though that today would have been only 9 or 10 DPO. I used OPKs to estimate O and it was on CD21 or 22. Is a short luteal phase like this something to be concerned about? I've only had two cycles off BC so far and they were both 30 days (I didn't track O in the first one though). I didn't temp but am starting--took my first one this morning.

@PaukMeKiande I use thinx and I love them! Best purchase ever. They fit tight but thats how they are supposed to.

Short luteal phase can be a concern--I think you need at least 10 days, optimally more, for an embryo to even have a chance to implant. I recommend charting you temps for the next month to see if it evens out--cycles can be wonky after hormonal birth control.
