I recently suffered a threatened miscarriage...baby is okay so far with a good heart beat. .has any one with the same thing.stay pregnant and go on to deliver the baby ..
Threatened miscarriage is a scary term that the docs use when you come in with bleeding. They said that when I came in with bleeding at 7 weeks and I'm almost 13 weeks now. Baby is still looking great and bleeding/spotting stopped. I hope all goes well for you and I wouldn't let the term scare you too much
My understanding is that they call any unexplained bleeding a threatened miscarraige. But spotting is very common. I wouldn't worry unless you're bleeding heavily with cramping.
I had this exact scare last weekend. I had very very heavy bleeding and very very painful cramps. Er said it was a subchorionic hemorrhage and a threatened miscarriage. Made it through that horrible horrible weekend. At Mondays appointment, the heartbeat was strong at 155 and Peanut was moving all over the place.
The term threatened miscarriage is very frightening. I understand. It is usually a generally diagnosis for bleeding while pregnant. The Er doesn't specialize in gynecology obstetrics. So they stabilize you, give you a general diagnosis, and tell you to follow up with your doctor. Which is exactly what you should do.
