Pregnant after IF

Anyone else not feeling pregnant?

Happy Thursday!

I am 5w5d and first u/s is scheduled for 04/14 but for now I do not feel pregnant, am I alone in this??
I have the urge to POAS to make sure I'm still pregnant and that I'm not losing it! Lol..
No symptoms with sickness, spotting or anything pregnancy like. If anyone is in the same boat, would love to hear that I'm not going crazy and buying HPTs for the next 7 days is ok, lol.

Blessings to all!!

@PrayingMom2Be I'm pretty sure this is all of us who don't have many/any symptoms! As of now, the only way I know that I'm pregnant is my very strong urge, and need, to eat all the time. I actually woke up this morning not starving (first time in well over a week that has happened) and I thought to myself "uh oh, this is it. I'm not pregnant anymore"... then about 10 seconds later I felt the sudden urge for breakfast and knew I was okay. You are definitely not crazy!! At 6 weeks I had no symptoms. The only way I knew was from the ultrasound, and the doc totally could have been faking that with a pre recorded video (that is how crazy I am, thinking they'd go through that much trouble to fool me). I personally didn't buy any hpts this cycle because I wanted to wait for the beta for concrete proof, but if you want to, totally go for it.

Taking more pg tests may increase your anxiety level as the dye can vary and I've heard (don't know if it's true) that as your HCG level increases to a certain point, the dye can actually get lighter (no clue how or why that happened). That fear alone was enough to get me to stop taking HPTs after my first beta.

You may not experience symptoms at all. Most women don't experience anything until at least 6 weeks, which is part of why the symptom spotting talk in 2ww discussions on the IF board would always aggravate me especially given that everything could be attributed to medication! I'm starting to forget when I started feeling symptoms. I want to say I was in my 6th week, but I know my week of MS was 7.5-8.5 weeks (I was lucky, except that was Christmas and I couldn't get more than 1 bite of my favorite meal my mom only cooks for Christmas) and all symptoms including BB tenderness were completely gone by 10 weeks.

ETA: The symptoms going completely away was the biggest mindf***. I called my mom one day bawling and telling her I "knew" I wasn't pregnant anymore. Fortunately, I was wrong.

Congratulations @PrayingMom2Be ! I remember your posts from IF board, I am so happy to hear that you are pregnant. I am over 8 weeks now and I still do not feel/believe that I am pregnant at all ( except bloating and larger boobs). I can understand your concern and I think we all have that feeling first weeks. I had two ultrasounds so far, still hard to believe when you do not feel any different at all. Believe that the LO is growing in there and I think taking HPTs will not help you at all. Congrats again and I hope that you`ll feel much better when you see the LO(s) in your U/S soon !

I totally feel the same way as you do. I just dont "feel" pregnant and feel the need to POAS to be sure i still am. I guess the stress from 2 miscarriages has done this to me. Good luck at ur next appt. Mine first OB appt to see doctor is tomorrow and hoping to hear babys heartbeat tomorrow for first time too <3
