Itty Bitty Titty Committee

Guise!  I'm like the CEO of this committee LOL.  I am a 32A - yup that's like 1 step up from training bras.  I don't even fill the whole cup fully either smdh.

Anyway, when I got KU for the 1st time I remember being so excited because I was finally going to have breast LOL.  I know, I know it's vain but come on guise I'm a 35yo woman who’s a 32A so you can't blame me too much LOL.  Anyway, when my breast started getting tender and then started hurting I thought "this is it, they're on their way!" I literally LOL as I type this because 2 months, 3 months, 4 months, 5 months, etc etc later and they never showed up <sigh>.  I finally asked my OB what was up and was I "defective" lol only to find out that some women have no change in size after becoming KU and all I could think was - this is BS!  Everyone I know gets bigger breast and I don't??  Anyway, she assured me that they would grow once my milk came in and she was right, they did to an extent, but never like anyone else I knew who really, really got bigger breast.

So here I am KU with #2 and I think I’m headed down the same road.  They are tender, they hurt, my nipples are sensitive but they aren’t growing.  The difference is this time I have no expectation that they will.  No, I won’t get implants as at the end of the day it’s not that serious to me but I did think it would be nice to have temporary bigger breast for a while, you know just to see how they’d look and for DH to have a little something something to grab on LOL.

So why am I writing this you ask?  I just want to know if I’m literally the only person out there with no increase in breast size during pregnancy because as far as I can tell in my real-life circle, I am.

  • Lmao!  LOVE this! Can I add my name to the vice pres ballot?  I told a friend she and I got left with deflated water balloon while the boobaliscious ladies got more?

  • I can't help you, sorry. I was a 38 DD and now am into the Es. I think this is one of those 'grass is always greener' type of things. My mom, who is also big, asked me if they were bigger and I complained that they were big enough before. I didn't really want them even bigger...

  • Hahaha @TrulyBlessed22 I'm with you!  I'm barely bigger than an A cup.  I feel like last pregnancy they grew slightly but nothing noticeable I think mostly they just hurt.   Every single one of my friends is a D or larger!  This pregnancy nothing has happened with the girls yet.

@Elev429 yay! Yes, you may add your name but I'll need to know your cup size before I move the application forward because if you say 34B or something like that you'll have to withdraw your application LOL

You're right @ficbot there is always a flip side but hopefully once all is said and done you'll go back to our DD's (hopefully)

@EmmieAnn22 I'm sorry (not sorry) that I'm not alone.  Welcome.

  • Ok.  Well Im a 38b.....but thats just because victoria secret does not believe anybody wears an a cup with a 38.  :)

  • I'm normally a not-quite-B-cup. That's not much on my 5'9" frame. Some saleslady convinced stupid me at one point that a 34 C = a 36 B bra and no, it doesn't. It was comical how poorly that bra fit me.

My previous 2 pregnancies I've grown into my B cups, so a slight size increase. Then early nursing days I was spilling over, but after things regulated I ranged from a full B (when I needed to pump or nurse) back to even less than I started with after baby fully drained them. I'm scared for what's going to be left after I'm completely done nursing.

One nice thing about this committee is that we can wear nursing tanks plus breastpads for months after giving birth and not need the support of a nursing bra. Also I get so annoyed when it hurts for me to run up and down stairs in my pajamas. Some women have to deal with that all the time, that must suck!
  • 34A(barely) over here and actually thinking that I might need to go bra shopping! I think it's more so that I might need a 36 instead of a 34 and still an A. LOL!
  • I think mine are slightly more perky, but haven't grown. My SO has noticed the slight change and seems to enjoy it. I'll take it, although it would be nice if they'd grow at least a little bit. It was the one side effect I was really looking forward to.

I'm a C/D cup so I'm not a member of the IBTC, but I would like to add my related woe- after BF two babies for 12+ months each, my poor boobs are incredibly saggy. I really liked them before. RIP, perky boobs.

How will they look after 3? There's no where to go but down.
    (Like what I did there?)

  • @Elev429 you can be in the committee but you don't qualify as VP LOL; however @tigerfish227 may apply for the VP role LOL.

Seriously though I'm kinda glad it's not just me that hasn't grown because for a while I really thought it was.  When every other PG around you has ginormous breast and you don't it's kinda like "wahts wrong".

@muybueno sorry about you saggies, hopefully they won't get any more saggy after #3

@shevacc you're soo right about the nursing bra thing lol.

@ash111916 here's hoping yours grow soon....you still have a lot of time.  The only reason I'm not hopeful is because I've been there done that I they didn't grow so no high hopes this time around.  You still have a shot though!

  • I'm a small 34 B, and I actually think I may be lying to myself about it.  The thing is, I used to have a FULL 34B almost C before I was pregnant last time.  My boobs disappeared after breastfeeding!

  • Oh this thread made me lol. I too was looking forward to getting larger breasts (I am a 36B normally) but no such luck yet. DH swears "they're so big", but in reality he just doesn't get to see them that often anymore, so his mind plays tricks on him. On the plus side, they never got sore. I'm wondering if it has to do with hormones, as I have to take meds to sustain an early pregnancy (my body just doesn't produce them).

I have a friend with small breasts who didn't have much change during pregnancy either, and they were pretty close to normal size all throughout breast feeding. Maybe us small ladies just don't get a boost like the bigger ladies do.

  • @nauticallife the GIF LMFAO but in all seriousness I've heard that one of 4 things happens post delivery and/or BF.

    1.  They go back to being exactly the same as before

    2. They actually stay somewhat larger than they once were (this happened to my Mother which made me hopeful and I now laugh at my hope)

    3.  Like you, they get smaller.  I'm sorry you're in this category...I'll admit I was scared this would happen to me because really where do you go from a 32A??

    4.  They stay the same size but they sag

For most my guess is that scenario #1 is the best one but the only people I know this has happened to are women who have children much younger in life and rebound quickly.

  • @AandDM2014 I thin you may be right about the boost because even when I was BF I could still wear my regular bras.  Yes they were bigger but not enough to warrant purchasing bigger size bras.

  • Mine didn't grow last time and my milk never came in 36B for lyfe.

  • @TrulyBlessed22 I accept your nomination!

I'm thinking about going out to Victoria's secret to have them double check my size because the 34 is just a bit tight and I've always worn my bras on the largest hook. I'm thinking a 36 on one of the smaller hooks might just be more comfy.
  • @tigerfish227 Oh ugh, I hate when my bras are too tight! The ladies at VS who do the measuring always try to convince me I'm a 34. Yeah, technically maybe, but I don't like how tight 34s are, even on the loosest hooks.

  • I'm on the other end of the spectrum. After last baby I'm sporting 34 G cups. I'm terrified at how huge I'm gonna get this time. My boobs hurt, my back hurts, my shoulders hurt and my bank account hurts because you can't just buy 34G bras at ross or walmart or even Victoria secret, nope. You gotta custom order that sh*t. I just want my C cups back. After I'm done breastfeeding baby I may look into a breast reduction.

Right there with you! I'm a 32 G but should prob be in an H. It sucks. Big time. I'm 100% looking into a reduction after this baby- we are only planning 2 and this will be #2. The struggle of finding a good nursing bra is already stressing me out... And I can't even get into looking for a materinity swim suit.

  • Firstly, isn't it enough that you ladies have all the boobs?  Do you need to steal our thread on top of it? ;-)

Secondly,  while the bras aren't an issue for me I've known people who have had those issues. @serenaxo84 My doctor's office has I full on lactation office and store where they do fittings does your office or hospital have anything like that?  Even just a lactation consultant may be able to help with where to look for a good bra. There was a woman in my birthing class with your issue and they gave her the info for a woman that would turn any bra into a nursing bra.  Maybe you can find something like that in your area.
  • I don't belong in the IBTC although I just need to add that last time my boobs grew, but this time they don't seem to be.

  • @EmmieAnn22 I was literally thinking that as I was typing! I have to say the grass is always greener on the other side!

my last pregnancy I unfortunately didn't have any of those resources which sound amazing! But I am going to be proactive in finding a lactation consultant early this time around so I will make sure to ask those questions when looking!! Thank you!!!
  • @EmmieAnn22 I know right! LOL @ all the boobs

@sugar9277 so you're basically right behind me <sigh>

  • I like to consider myself the president of the IBTC. I, too, am a 32A (barely). My boob size didn't change at all when I was pregnant with my ds. However, they got GIGANTIC (like, pushing a D almost - huge for me) when I started breastfeeding. I decided that I'm glad my boobs aren't that big, usually. I would be happy to be somewhere in the middle. Small C sounds awesome :)

  • Your boobs were almost a D when BF when you're normally a 32A @HMLanders?!?  WO!  I can't even begin to picture that difference and I'm also a 32 (barely) LOL.  Mine barely grew when I was BF.  I mean they got bigger but I still fit in my bra's so that's not saying much.

Anyway, here's my question...did you go back to being a 32A??

Oh and Yes you may be the President of the Nov16 IBTC :)  So now we have the CEO, President and VP LOL (I know, I'm sooo corny LOL)

  • @TrulyBlessed22 Yes! I so wasn't expecting it to happen either. I just woke up one morning and had giant boobs. Sadly, they did go away after breastfeeding. Every extra little fatty cell vanished and I was back down to the itty bittys. But lucky me, now they have stripes :D haha.

  • While I'm not a member of the committee (not that I'm giant but comfortable D cup). My boobs never get bigger! Even when my milk came in I went up maybe a half a cup! It's more common that you would think!

This is encouraging to hear. With my last pregnancy (a loss), my boobs got huge. This time they started to get big and now have shrunk. They are smaller than they've been in 7 years! When they shrunk, I assumed it was a sign of miscarriage (I've had a few this time around), but sure enough this baby has a strong heartbeat at 7 weeks!
  • Count me in for the IBTC! I'm a 31-yr-old 34AA (or nearly A depending on the brand). So far I'm still not filling my bra cups, though they are heavier feeling and the nipples are bigger. I'm so small I feel like my boobs might just become big nipples!

I was looking forward to getting bigger so I'm bummed that there's a chance I won't! I have an identical twin and hers didn't grow that much and anything she did get was lost again pretty quickly so there is likely little hope for me!
  • edited April 2016
@chloe97 mine got bigger during my last one as well (also a loss), so I was worried that they haven't this time, but it's good to hear they just might not grow much and I shouldn't worry. (I'm 7w1d, but don't have an appt for 2 more weeks to calm my fears!)
  • @lajoliedreamer I can tell you that with DD I was basically mostly nipple smdh.  The got big with BF meanwhile the actual boob was barely bigger SMDH
